Actually what we are doing is just to delay the demise of living beings on earth. No matter what we must move on to another planet within the next 200 years to ensure survivability of humans. The conditions on Earth will get only worse upon each generations.

please do our part now to delay further to allow pur children, grandchildren and so on to have a more bearable living conditions before the next colony is found and ready for settlement.

And what is our part ?

actually the solution to rising sea level is very simple..

Build a pipe that goes high up into space. pump the water to the vacuum of space and it will boil away.

sea level drops after that.. LOL

Water is hydrogen and oxygen combined.

Separate the hydrogen from the oxygen and you get 2 gases.

Sell the oxygen to hospitals and use for ICUs

and use the hydrogen to make electricty.

Use the electricty to power the aircons.

As global warning gets worse, we will need more aircon.

IMHO.
Possible if can generate the energy to do that.

Space is not a vacuum lah.

If space was a vacuum

then all our air

will be sucked out already!

I read somewhere is a misnomer.

I like planet Earth.

Please don't destroy it

using its resources to make

a spaceship to colonize another planet.

:a-happy:

This is the best planet

and there are no planets better than this one.

People say geothermal energy is clean and green.

haha.. joke only.. IDK if it is logical or scientific..

Since global warming is the problem, I see some youtube vids about reducing solar radiation coming in... since the sun activity is getting more intense, CO2 cant be the sole reason.

Other planets in the system are no substitute. Did you watch the expanse? there is a little bit on the economics of what earth provides to the other planets.

just like the first industrial revolution that brought unprecedented pollution, we will clean up when we are dying in the cities. even if we don't life finds a way. just not necessary for humans to be a part of.

finding another earth like planet is still too far of a future i cant imagine

We're trying hard to to fight global warming, but plans are in place further up north to release more carbon. Are we doomed?  :lll._.:

China economic blueprint signals more coal investment

the-plan-announced-by-premier-li-keqiang

China is the world's biggest polluter, spewing out over a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions linked to global warming. As part of the plan to reach carbon neutrality by 2060, Beijing had previously pledged to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030. Researchers say this needs coal-fired power to be cut almost immediately. However the economic blueprint does not ban the development of new coal power stations. Instead China's cabinet last month issued a directive to "increase the share of large capacity coal power units".

"The contradiction between targeting low-carbon development and continuing to invest in coal and fossil fuels still seems stark in China's plans"
