Originally set to go on sale in summer 2020, the Infiniti QX55 has now been rescheduled for the 2022 model year.

The production model is now set to be revealed on November 11 on social media.

The coupe-like QX55 is based on the compact QX50 SUV, and we expect it will share that model's VC-Turbo powertrain.

Infiniti has teased us with the QX55 not once, not twice, but three times now as it grapples with production delays for its revived lineup of luxury cars and SUVs. The QX55, which is in essence a chopped-roof version of the QX50 SUV, was originally said to be heading to production in 2020, but it will now be pushed to 2021.

The Japanese luxury automaker will reveal the production version of the QX55 on November 11 with a virtual debut on the company's social media channels. Until then, the company says it won't give any information on the SUV's powertrain or equipment, but we expect it to follow the template set by the existing QX50. That would mean a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with variable compression technology, a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and either front- or all-wheel drive.

In a teaser photo released by Infiniti, we can see that the QX55 will wear a sloped rear hatchback design and unique taillights. The QX55 is expected at North American Infiniti dealerships in spring 2021 as a 2022 model.

That seems to be a very short boot.  😅

Any current owner of the QX50 here? How is the VC drive? Fuel consumption? I read elsewhere that the fuel efficiency fall short of what has been claimed by the manufacturer..

All FC tests by Car's Mfg are done using Dyno, you need to ''discount'' at least 30% if driving on the Road....
