Read somewhere that Shaqiri was supposed to go on loan but Klopp blocked the move. It was said that Klopp changed his mind at the last minute to keep Shaqiri as back up.

Lets hope we get to see more of Shaqiri this season...

He also blocked Mig from either a sale or a loan when he let Karius go when we first got Allison... but Mig only played the (few) domestic cups leh...

yah, news out of Africa still very little and slow - in this day and time!

but read Ghana's game cancelled due to too few players available, and Keita was allowed to fly back? means he's negative?

Liverpool have been calculated as having the most valuable squad in the world despite the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Premier League and world champions have beaten Manchester City to the accolade in the latest figures released by Transfermarkt.

Last month’s arrivals of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota have helped bump the overall market value of Liverpool’s squad up to £991.08million.

That has put them ahead of City, who are valued at £971.64m. Spanish giants Barcelona (£790.65m) and Real Madrid (£769.5m) sandwich European champions Bayern Munich (£782.06m) to complete the top five.

The Premier League’s spending power is demonstrated by Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also featuring in the top 10, with Arsenal, Everton, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers inside the top 20.

Back in April, Transfermarkt determined Liverpool had £195.6m wiped off the worth of their overall squad due to the pandemic, reducing their squad value to £873m.

However, with clubs spending more liberally than had been anticipated during the recent transfer window, Liverpool’s squad has seen an increase in almost £100m since then, helped by their Premier League triumph.

Jota’s value has increased almost £11m following his transfer, while Andy Robertson has improved by £10m, Alisson Becker £9m and Fabinho £3.5m.

Isolate at home with TV.
