Its not totally Allison's fault, remember the match against man u in fa cup, one of the young cb failed to clear a similar ball and resulted in a goal. So Allison must be think he would have better chance of clearing the ball as kabak is tracking back. Too bad the lack of communication between them. He is under tremendous pressure to not only guard the goal and also track out to clear the ball as much as possble. New and young cb need alots of help from him. Hope they gel fast enough to form up a formidable partnership

Yes. AB1 actually had "right of way" just that he did not signal. Defenders were taught to let goalie have the ball if the goalie asked for it. I just wonder why Kabak started the game when he is not "in tune" with the others. Maybe, on hindsight, Phillips might do better though we playing a very high line.

We need an experienced CB to marshall the back line and control offside trap.

At time like this. It’s better to play like how we play 3 season ago. All out attack, trying to outscore opponent. Meaning move all midfield back to midfield. Play with 100% efficient midfield better the. Trying to cover up the the defend to 50% and weaken the midfield to 50%

You can have the best defense and the best midfield

but if the keeper tackles his own defenders and keep

passing the ball to the other team's strikers to score

no point also lah.

The reason we play Hendo in defence

and not Nat Philips is very simple.

Nat Philips has no speed.

He can stop big slow strikers like Kane

but not speedy strikers like Vardy.

My point is, Allison tried to do a first timing clearance, even the most experienced defender would hesitate to do it well, first time.

Its actually easier for Alisson to clear than leaving it for Kabak.

Vardy is probably the reason for the very high line. The high line is probably why Phillips dont get to play. A high line usually come with offside trap. However, Vardy's speed obliges Alisson to be more alert towards any potential loose balls behind the CBs.

I go back to the start of January whereby the mgt had the opportunity to plug the CB gap by buying early and not rolling the dice. The drop off like a cliff through the month of january is beyond our imaginations but some of us could clearly see it coming.

From Klopp's body language and his unprecedented plea to the owners to buy right at the end of the window, it was clear that he is clearly upset with the current situation and one which could have been mitigated if the owners have back him up with his view to buy early.

the team and the manager is now under severe pressure and unfortunately, alot of these were self inflicted.  Pool dropped to 6th and based on the games in hand from Everton and Aston Villa, Pool is technically in 8th position.  The fight for top 4 is also against the tide unless the team starts believing in themselves again. Their confidence is rock bottom and the team crumpled easily at each setback in  the last few games.

We cannot keep playing Hendro in CB when the midfield is not functioning. Thiago looks like a liability out there waiting to explode given the lack of protection around him.  Despite playing Hendro as the CB, the team's defence is so fragile so there is little justifications for that to continue.  Ben Davis, Nat Phillips and Kazak have to start playing as CBs such that Hendro can restore the midfield control.

FT: RB LEIPZIG 0-2 LIVERPOOL.
Sadio Mane & Mo Salah.

A very much welcome win to momentarily lift the recent gloom.

Next up, the match vs our bitter neighbors. The ones that “started” our injury crisis! 😡

a much welcomed lift in this win and a clean sheet.

Leizip proved to the type of opponent which Pool's tactical set up would thrive on. they went toe to toe with us instead of sitting deep.  This usually works for us.

Both Salah and Mane scored so this was welcomed. Salah has quietly chalked up his 24th goals in all competitions this season.  For all the frustrations which some fans with him, he is proving to be the most productive in terms of goals.

Alisson's clean sheet will give him a big boost in confidence. He had a good game and made some saves.

Klopp has a little breathing space ahead of the derby game on Sat. Hope for more of the injured contingent to be back e.g.  Fabinho, Keita etc.

Lucky win if you ask me. I thot we played better against Leicester before Thiago's foul.

The only difference was they made two mistakes and we capitalized on those mistakes. The result might be different if the early diving header has gone in.

Front 3 was lively though somehow felt they couldnt press as well as before.

Midfielders.. took too many touches and turn left right centre then resort to pass back to CB who passes back to Alisson. Alisson probably made more passes than Kabak.

Kabak played ok for a 20yo. Maybe the main passing route was through Hendo to prevent unnecessary load on the right side of our back line. Trent made Angelino looked good. Alisson was ok except he seemed to deliberately wait for opponent to press close before releasing the ball.
