If Barca or Madrid give us 90m for Mane we should sell him

If Atletico give us 66m for Firmino we should sell him

And buy Mbappe and Raphinha whose agent is Deco.

Deco who helped Fabinho sign for Liverpool.

Raphinha a Brazilian will ask Firmino and Fabinhno about life at Liverpool.

Big fight and effort from everyone who played, just wasn't our night in front of the goal.

We created enough chances in the first half to have turned the tie around.

We needed an early goal (like Origi vs Barca) and really missed the fans.

Last seven games of the season to get that top 4 and finish on a high this difficult season.

For a few moments in the first half, I seriously thought a comeback is on the cards. Alas, with RM defending with a white blanket (that's what the commentator says), and our players not lacing up their scoring boots, we fail to materialise it. 

Notwithstanding, the intend is there, the passion is there and the intensity is there as well. The game was lost in the first leg with us causing our own downfall through mistakes. 

Now that we are out, let's focus on the Premier League and try for a 4th place finish. 

Some say our remaining fixtures is the easiest of the lot but that's my biggest concern. LFC plays well against the bigger teams and always have to sweat it out with the smaller teams. With major injuries to our not very deep squad, it is a cause of concern. 

Notwithstanding, with or without Champions League next season, we will press on cos it's in our blood.

To sum up Liverpool season

Inability to score.

Only one solution

Get a new front 3.

Getting older, getting slower and not going to get better.

Our problem this year:

Forward can't score like before - the front three dont play for each other anymore

Midfield no variation - alternative players like Keita, Ox and Shaqiri been injured or not preferred and we always play the same predictable midfield

Defence no longer solid - main CB pairing: 20yo on loan Kabak + 24yo transfer listed Phillips... bought Ben Davies with Rhys Williams ahead of him in pecking order... maybe just a commercial decision.

maybe the top 4 chase has not become academic due to the formation of the super league.  not a good day for football fans but I think money is the driver here.

Front 3 definitely need a rejuvenation. The 2 wingers certainly not seeing eye to eye from my point of view. 

 

I still see we will struggle come next season if nothing is done to address the issue.

Liverpool miss out on top 4 might be hard to get players like Mbappe and Haaland.

But if we miss out get to play in ESL then no problem.

I always felt that the front 3 would have been broken up if there isnt COViD.

Gini would have left when Thiago came in and maybe Gini's replacement signed.
