Aguero take close to 300k  eu at man c. 240k pound i think. he is 32, man c not gonna renew at the same wages.

he take a huge pay cut when he sign for barc, which is why alot of talk about the poor relationship between Aguero and pep towards the end.

esp Aguero dad make alot of noise. but obviously he is not worth that amount any more. and pep dun even want him any more as he rebuild to challenge for ucl again.

well... that's the reality of most footballers... except maybe CR7 and Messi, who should still be commanding huge fees at mid 30s...

can't blame the footballers for trying to squeeze as much as possible before they reach the stage of nobody wants...

talking of which, what happens to Alexis Sanchez? he was earning a lot when not playing much...

Alexis Sanchez is a huge example when clubs assume a player is out of contract, as they sign him for foc, they can give him huge contract instead to pull him over.

man u give him about 1/2m pound per week to pull him over from man c, they pay asn 0 fee, but assume his contract is 3 years, how much that 3 years will cost man u , after he go man u , all man  u stars start demanding similar crazy wages, including de gea.

he make more then 300k pound /week at man u , which is super crazy for a kp that dun even play . and his contract just sign not long, worst case no 1 can afford de gea now that man u want to sell him,

The fact that Gini did not sign a contract two years before the expiry date means he considered leaving or his plan was to move on.

Maybe he was indeed played out of position..

I noticed that those players that leaves Liverpool tents to spiral downward playing for other clubs....  :dizzy:

Players like Milan Baros, Torres, Micheal Owen, PC, Raheem Sterling, .... etc. Only a handful can make it.

Hope Gini don't goes downwards at PSG ... :slow:

of the lot, Sterling didn't immediately become worse. Luis Alberto i understand has been quite good in Serie A. Suarez did very well for a few years at Barca, and Mescharano and Alonso also achieved much success.

but yes, lots more became quite jialat after leaving. Carroll, Sturridge, Sakho, Clyne, etc and the list goes on...

He is a no. 10 playing as a water carrier.

I don't fault him for leaving.

Reminds me of Chris Sutton.

He was a defender and King Kenny played him as a centre forward with Alan Shearer.

He never played as a defender again.

(edited)

Bale played as a left back and became a winger.

Gerrard started as a right back and became a no. 10

Though Gini plays a different role under Klopp, he was ultimately very effective. There is no no.10 role under klopp and Gini won't be able to compete with the front 3 for the true forward position.

In this regard, we should give Klopp's credit for the role-transformation for Gini.  He began a world class box2box midfielder who can defend and attack.  the midfield engine under Klopp is the most demanding role in terms of physical fitness. Klopp spotted this in Gini and the rest is history. The attacking emphasis and goals are heavily weighted towards the forwards to deliver so again, it is no fault that Gini is asked to play a more deeper role and hence less goals as a result.

to put it further in perspective, the more attacking midfielder under Klopp - Ox and Keita, have hardly featured consistently the years. We may also argue that these players are hardly fit most of the times..

Klopp started as a striker then played in midfield then as a centre back.

He had height and speed so no problem as a CB.

Too many maybes. Maybe he was meant to be a goal scoring Joe Allen... he showed that he can score goals with Newcastle. Maybe Klopp decided to get Thiago as Gini was going to leave. Maybe he was Firminho back up.

Anyway we can only wish him all the best. At least he did not join another EPL team.

sterling is still very good what, still so young, 1 of the most cap england player currently, he won almost everything that can be won with man c other then ucl.

Suarez also. he did very well after leaving pools.

The manner Sterling left and Suarez left are world apart... -_-.

Look how Gini left as an example. Gave all until the last kick for the club. :a-m1212:

I hate professional footballers play punk with themselves just to leave a club like PC & Sterling.

Refused to play or train and sighing reasons like injuries, not feeling well and even when playing, ai mai ai mai (half heartedly) attitute in forcing themselves for a transfer...  :pissed-off:

Mind thinking of big transfer money .... :lll._.:

Sterling will most certainly cost a bomb in terms of transfer fees and wages. Can't see how Klopp will break the bank to get him in.  he is 26 yr old so he is still young but likely this transfer fee will be at peak or near it, unless Klopp sells him on after 2-3 years which is usually not his style. Klopp will take 1-2 years to groom him into a WC star as we saw that in both Salah and Mane who both arrived at the club near Sterling's current age. The problem is therefore the next transfer deal which Klopp is under a bit of pressure to keep these stars all nearing 30 yr old...
