Only incoming. Amdk still shut the doors. Anyway why would they want to allow a 55k covid infected Country to visit them. If they open up outside Australia, Taiwan should go 1st.

If there is no 2 way it will have little traffic in reality. No one will operate a flight to come here if there is no chance of bringing passengers back the other way.

I think so, if travel to China is still restricted, taiwan can wait even if they are heavenly safe.

In fact, there's more chance to have 2-way general travel with PRC established soon - like it or not. Over there, covid is clearly well under control despite sporadic outbreaks here and there, they've ditched face masks. Not too sure about safe distancing though, as it is near impossible to maintain in the cities.

Asked a PRC person here and was told the general feeling is that staying here in SG now feels more onerous than going back home to PRC, because all the covid rules like face masks and distancing make life a little more difficult in SG now, and don't know how long it will last here. But back in PRC, life seems almost fully back to normal.

They are fully confident of being able to manage sporadic outbreaks here and there now, having put down more than one successive wave of resurgence in covid.

But they have only one tool : sledgehammer! [laugh] It works all the time. Every time there's a positive case, draw a huge ring around and then lock up everyone in quarantine - while life goes on for everybody else. Their quarantine is more strictly enforced than ours, with "neighbours" checking on you, and I bet their contact tracing is superior too, with cctvs everywhere and spying on online traces.
