Mindset.

2 months ago, my chairman added a very competent ex auditor to our 2-man executive committee team after realizing that, while I have been doing a decent job, mistakes have and are being made (okok... I am not omnipotent) and that I could be taking more risk than what is necessary to boost my own bonus package, possibly to the detriment of the shareholders. Of course it is not true.

I am freaking angry, I scolded my shareholders for acting like free riders and thinking they are the real boss. I am the one paying their salary, ok. 🤣😂🤭

Your post is not simpur. 🤣

And today I told my marketing and communications department to flash an article in the company intranet to kan the shareholders again. I'm paying everyone salary! Including my wife!

“Monopoly” means the exclusive use or control over something.

When tharman use the term “monopoly of compassion” on Jamus, tharman is just saying , don’t just assume you or your party, the WP, only knows how to show compassion to the workers. We at the PAP also equally Care for our workers too.

Thanks for clarifying my doubts. I just wanna confirm that I understood phrase correctly.

I re-read this sentence a few times. I come to realise, thaman is not just saying jamus lim, he is also saying other pap mp too. Coz he realised that they are perhaps too overly concentrate on compassion that he/she might get blindsided by it. The worst thing that they could do is to inject policies that they think are compassionate to other people. This is not right, coz how can we inject policies that they think are compassionate to other people? Different people have different thoughts, different mindset, so everyone is unique including their own compassionate thinking.

Many criticisms of opposition seem to suggest that PAP has the monopoly over good and 'right' policies

That's why.. Pap is not perfect too, but then when they are not perfect and because they can easily passed down legislation or what in parliament and that is very scary.

Like what tharman one of the thing managed to see though that many pap, wp, PSP mp did not see that. That is monopolies over compassion. Of coz there might have many things that tharman might have observed and perhaps feel that is not right? Don't know whether after the 1st week of parliament session, did he go back and tell them on what is not right or not?

To see things that are not right, is not easy, coz people have feelings, people have their own believes. So sometimes these 2 cloud their judgement. So need a person with very clear thought process and able to seperate out feelings, own believes to think logically. Not many people can do that although many people claimed they can.

Like jamus lim, look at his Facebook post on his house visit, his parliment session on wanting to implement mimimum wage law. He seems like putting too much emotional to policies. This might cloud his judgement and use his intelligence to explain though his emotional to policies judgement, then the logical part might get left out. Logical part is very important due to if logic can't work, implement that kind of policies might make things worst. Perhaps that is why last time lesser women is in top position or in the parliment and etc. It is because women tend to be more emotional and might cloud their judgement.

Look like we will soon have parliament debate on all these AGO report lao.

It's a good thing by the way, but then if every year sort of similar lapses then something is not right already.

Year in year out lapses happen again and again. Those culprits would just get promoted to the next job to do bigger harm (think MOM) , no one needs to answer.

Incompetence /ignorance is not a crime in silver service. Only if personally take $$, then they will act.

NLB previously under Yaakob Ibrahim.  Now retired.

The supervising officer might have move to other stat board if he/she is high flying.
