Where got reasonably price service to clean and reseal the headlight. Notice some condensation on the inside face of the transparent casing... before my ballast goes kaput.

TIA.

Does your headlight casing condensation only occur during rainy days or even on hot humid days?

For my previous car condensation occurred only during rainy days. At first I also thought the casing requires re-sealing but I removed one of the headlights for a closer look, it's not really a sealing issue, I also didnt remove the dust covers. It was a merely a case of a warm surface meeting cold air. What I did was I replaced my halogen lights, what I used were Osram Nightbreakers they are brighter thus generates slightly more heat than stock halogen bulbs. I went online and bought LED bulbs, they generate less heat. And the condensation stopped, even on heavy rainy days. How I know hot or not is to touch the casing when I reach home, after driving. The difference in heat generated is significant between the halogen bulbs I was using vs the LED bulbs. They are not blinding if you know how to adjust the alignment. Usually blinding ones are HIDs.

Brighter light bulbs(higher lumens) generally produces more heat. Headlight casing I have noticed isnt completely sealed and vacuum. When you remove the dust covers and unplug the connections you will see that it's not sealed around that area. There's air inside the casing. Where there's air there's moisture as well. Like I mentioned it's a warm surface meeting cold air, that's why condensation occurs.

It's good to give your headlights a physical check first before deciding what to do. Sometimes it may be cracked or got some tiny hole that you didnt notice, you know.

If your ballast is placed inside the casing, try to move it out. The heat coming from the ballast may be the cause of heat build up inside the casing.

Thanks boss for the detailed info. The condensation is still there, the whole day.

But I got more irritating issue which still not resolved... my morning stuck rpm which weirdly does not (99% of the time) surface up later in the day. So largely only morning first start of the day or any subsequent cranks which I thought would make it go away.

Tomorrow half day leave going SKM second time. Second mech and they are all Honda specialists. And I will be telling him to indent the driver side airbag which just malfunction (airbag sign on).

Thank you thank you... need some time to digest.

You could open the headlight cap after parking, let it dry.

I noticed there's like 2 little rubber u-tube on my previous car headlight.

These are supposed to let heat and moisture out, but prevents water from going in, I supposed.

Maybe you can have a look to see if anything looks like "missing" ?

Common Problem and Easy to Fix.  Plenty of Solutions.

Thanks for the video! But I no confidence of doing it.

The last time it happen to the other one, my mech fixed it but never clean the inside of the lamp, now so dusty looking 😒

How much to fix that ?  Still remember ?

For me, frankly I never have this kind of problem one,  either accident help me to fix (even before accident also no problem one) or I only drive the car for 10 years, when COE expires, the car go, or my headlight is 100% stock and I change bulb myself.

Some peeps change the problematic headlight housing together with the rests of the car 😁

I also wish I can afford to do that, and I would probably change to the exact same model 😂

Hopefully resolved my sticky rpm issues, now gear change is back to normal and rpm dropping like how it should.

Headlights condensation repaired but the inside of the glass tad dirty, nevermind lah.  Also did servicing and realign the front bumper.

Went inspection and failed exhaust (cracked hahaha). Went back mech, next morning fixed, in fact he changed back stock to stock exhaust system. But now dunno why exhaust quite a bit louder in the cabin. Am I missing something?

But very happy the rpm stuff is gone and coasting is not 100% perfect but very smooth, hope it does not come back. Now I can drive like how I want to.

Haven't receive my bill. May have to remind my mech sometimes he forgot about it. Both of us busy so I also never asked about the details.

Just received bill yesterday but not individually priced though... adjust my saggy bumper and fix one headlight is $100.
