Great thread. I had the COE Gen 1 and Gen 2 Accord hatchbacks b4. Great cars, felt modern to drive and among the first cars to use FWD, and had superb refinement for jap cars at the time.

I drove a G3 Accord donkey years ago. My boss then told me Accord was the poor man's Merc while Alpha Romeo was the poor man's Porche.

He had a lot of these type of analogies then. I bet this no longer holds true. Haha.

My dad had 3 generations of of it. I had 2.

I  previously had 2 generations of Nissan Sunny.

1. Year 1982, also known as DATSUN 130Y in Malaysia.  1.3GL with the big bumper.

2. Year 2005. I think it is called N16.

Most of my cars are Nissan - Presea, Teana, other than Sunny.

Honda is abit over my budget.  I just need a motorized trolley with 4 wheels to take me from point A to point B.

He also advised not to drive a bigger car then one's boss. He drove a Civic while I an Accord.

No wonder I took a long time to get promoted. Hahaha.

This type of boss, if they take double decker bus to work, we better make sure we sit in a 44 seater bus, single deck only.

Hi all, ACCORDs have been part of my family life and had them all in Metallic Blue Colors. Enjoyed the trouble-free ownership through the years, before switching to MPVs.

Brings back sweet memories...........My Family had the Gen 2 Accord from 1982. It was a 2000cc manual transmission

This model came only in 1.6 manual or semi-auto.

why I drive Accord is because it is spacer and importantly, affordable maintenance for a mid size sedan

Hello Maskedrider,

Long time "no see", from those days when we were in the then active SHC forum and the super mega long 670+ pgs "Honda Accord CM4/5 mainly (Stories, mods, meetups...)" thread.
