Erm.. Then these people will be jobless.. It is precisely these petrol station are giving jobs to these people to earn a living..

Then MOM has created all these tiny loop-holes that unscrupulous employers have exploited.

Inflating salaries to qualify for work pass or EP, then deducting using the clauses and claw-back part of the salary.

I'm sure you can always pump yourself.

However, pump attendants are to service those who don't want to pump themselves.

"Instances of unsuccessful payments for refuelling occur from time to time and are mostly accidental by nature. We can confirm that such an incident occurred at Shell Upper Bukit Timah PIE on 18 September 2020, 6.56pm. In cases like this, we are guided by a set of internal procedures to investigate and get in touch with the customer concerned. We are committed to resolve this matter as soon as possible with the parties involved.

To respect the privacy of the customer and the service champion, we will not comment further."

For real? Shell deduct the $ from the attendant, and Shell no CCTV to capture the car plate?? Everyone flock to this station and pump and run?

 

 

Useless employer 

 

They are taking the ez way out to take back the money.

It is a terrible thing to do to your employee. The attendant should take down each car nos plate, then follow each and every motorist into the office to witness the paying lor. Don't care what happen outside because you have to ensure he pays mah.
