India manufactures quite a large supply of medicines. I would probably take the latter.

I read somewhere recently that prior to covid, india alone manufactures 20% of the world's vaccine doses.

This is the official answer

Quote

Q11[Updated 18 Feb] Is COVID-19 vaccination safe for those with chronic illness such as hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes?

The study population for Pfizer-BioNTech’s and Moderna's phase 3 trials included persons with medical comorbidities, who were at risk of serious, life-threatening disease and death from COVID-19 infection, and there were no safety concerns reported in this group. Persons with chronic illnesses are recommended to receive the vaccine for personal protection as well as protecting their loved ones.

Chinese hackers target Indian vaccine makers SII, Bharat Biotech: Security firm

Goldman Sachs-backed Cyfirma, based in Singapore and Tokyo, said Chinese hacking group APT10, also known as Stone Panda, had identified gaps and vulnerabilities in the IT infrastructure and supply chain software of Bharat Biotech and the Serum Institute of India (SII), the world's largest vaccine maker.

"The real motivation here is actually exfiltrating intellectual property and getting competitive advantage over Indian pharmaceutical companies," said Cyfirma Chief Executive Kumar Ritesh, formerly a top cyber official with British foreign intelligence agency MI6. He said APT10 was actively targeting SII, which is making the AstraZeneca vaccine for many countries and will soon start bulk-manufacturing Novavax shots.

I believe how the vaccine reacted depends on your own body allegy and reaction to the vaccine than the chronic illness that you have. Having tons of chronic illness doesnt mean it would have bad side effects after taking the vaccine and a healthy and fit person also doesnt mean it would not have any bad side effects!?

Usually how long is the period given for you to book your vaccine slot before they would treat it that you have give up to take the jab?
