I had wanted to travel to Shanghai in the middle of this year but didn't get to do it (duh).

No more chance to do it for next 1-2 years as we are having a kid due in feb next year. Hopefully we can drive to Malaysia (KL, genting, etc) later in 2021.

Shanghai hot summer is worse than our hot June/July.

Taiwan is my fav holiday destination (other than MY), but after that mask manufacturing saga nonsense, I'll prob take my tourist dollar to my wife's fav holiday destination - Korea - instead!

Maybe you can also stop paying GST & Income Tax here

Actually where did you plan to go before you had to cancel your plans?

Can't go far with health problems so mostly stay in Singapore.

If health permits, it's been some time since I last visited Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Yes, been there a few time 2nd half of June. 38degC with completely no wind. You won't want to stay outside.

I was in Shanghai on National Day Week 2013. Max temp hit 42 deg.

I went out jogging at 6am. Sweat never stop whenever I waited for Green Man.

In order of interest/preference,

i) Australia, Victoria state or Tasmania

ii) Taiwan

iii) Malaysia/thailand

But I'm ok waiting till 2022 or later. As long as it isn't frequent rainy weather in SG, can just enjoy the outdoors in SG.

I love Tasmania too! Would it be your first time?

Yes. But my kids need to be older so they don't mind walking for longer. The younger one still pre school.

@Robin

yes I too want to explore JB with my own car. Probably have to do a 3 day 2 night thingy. Food, buy some new clothes, massage, hair salon and of course do up the car/servicing etc. Any recommendations for reliable car workshops 😋

I was planning a long month long Japan trip... from south in Fukuoka to north in Hokkaido during the Nov to Dec period this year... trying to achieve experiencing autumn to winter... I think have to postpone to after 2022, likely 2024... by then got two kids... was trying to make it before the second one pop out...
