Hearsay in Thailand already hundreds of young people have disappeared. You don't go and protest against the government because you have no school or job, maybe in the US but definitely not in Thailand.

Politics is sometimes about how to cut the pie, obviously some segments of society is taking too much and leaving too little for the rest. This is pretty obvious in Thailand. It is a powder keg that is taken advantage of.

Whoa like N.Korea? Disappeared? 😂

It's known the local police arrested them but it's really not like they disappeared for good.

Their issues cant be brushed aside. The world is watching.

If you can steal an election, many elections actually, what is so difficult to make people disappear?  It is easier than switching off the lights. Wahaha.

I am just talking cock lah, go ask some of your Thai friends the situation on the ground.

The military and royalities refusing to share the wealth of the nation.

The article is quite spot on, the huge military/palace complex benefiting the king and the many generals won’t allow changes, so Thailand will have more coups in the future.

At least your favourite regime knows better. Lol

The new king too lavish and acts like a typical 富二代, add on with military govt, the people are fed up but as long as army with govt and king, the citizens cant do much. Somemore still got many yellow shirt supporters, the country is still divided.

remember 1998 soeharto kena toppled, the military ready to side soeharto but soeharto decided to let go. Moreover some military support prabowo.

Queen E was disconnected with the ppl until the death of Princess D.

That was the wake up call for British Royal Family.

In general, british society at that time is still very hierarchical. Even now there's hereditary House of Lords.
It was the 1980s onwards where capitalism introduced by Margaret Thatcher's government started minting the new "royalty", the rich and wealthy professionals, that the allure of hereditary status changed.
