Cat A only takes less than 5 mins to increase from $10k to $32k? :o

It just means nobody bidded between $10k to $32k. Hence once $10k was exceeded, the next lowest bid were the $32k bids.

Dont understand why some AD bid at so high or revised the bid so much thats why the big jump in price. If ADs are more cooperative and increase their bid by a little each time, with the number of bids received today, the price could have been soften much more.

Cos they have the margin? If they increase slowly they may not be able to secure the COE for their customers.

Imagine if the AD got 50 customers and he need to go in and slowly amend the bids for these 50...where got time? Especially when the action is last 15 mins.

U asking for the impossible. All ADs n PIs are competitors for limited COE supply. Where got such thing as co-operate?

Each AD n PI hv their own bottom line n targets to meet so how to collaborate. It’s a dog eat dog world out there just like any industry. As in all demand n supply matters, supply being limited for a paper where there is high demand will obviously result in higher prices so we just hv to accept it.

Assuming the AD of Mercedes and BMW have 400 booking each and there are only 900 COEs, do you think they will share evenly with Toyota, Nisan, Mazda, VW, etc?  Of course not, with their fat margin, they can simply outbid most of the dealers.  Lets wait for another 6 months to a  year when the COE allocation gets tighten up,  you will see only the premium brands are securing their COEs.

Agreed. Prisoner dilemma and game theory. No way to game this against the LTA scholars.
