There are different batches of WD red drives and sizes that have issues with NAS, I have 2x3tb WD red drives still surviving after 10 yrs. So far the newer WD 8tb red plus seem fine. My experiences with seagate are disappointing, bought 4x4tb and two of them failed after slightly more than 3yrs. So far I never try hitachi as most of the promo price always is between WD red and Seagate ironwolf.

Mine is a 2 drive NAS.
I'm on my 3rd WD red + a 4gb hitachi now. 

Oh ok. I bought the hitachi from SLS. 

NAS nowadays not much uses. Hardly use it anymore even though it's on. Just a legacy device for me that i use to back up my photos.

I think is the outdated model so they selling cheap.
