I still say HDB is the best value for money housing type, no frills housing in SG. Just don’t expect to use it as an inheritance tool, investment tool, or have expectations on facilities. Anyone who tells you otherwise probably is telling something biased.

always amazed how people can own multiple properties with little or no money in a very short time. especially for residential properties in sg 

if anyone can enlighten with specific calculations, that would be illuminating

Just a name on the property doesnt mean they own it. Just like car dealers register their car company in their wife's name.

It’s not illegal if it’s an opinion.

It’s also not totally inaccurate. Just have to look at the Geylang expiring lease as an actual case study.

But for HDB, everything will be wedged to make sure it doesn’t go down to zero. Maybe redeem with 20 years lease left to change new BTO with 20 years left as well.

To say either worthless or sure increase huge in value at every year both are too extreme values that are unlikely to be very accurate.

But then again there "educators" are also pointing out the flaws in the system and capitalize on it mah..

So MAS and gang need to relook and tightened it loh..
