From FB description looks like a romantic encounter. BMW and taxi lao is a perfect match LOL

https://www.facebook.com/701306079901798/posts/4030370643661975/

9jan2021 0015hrs kpe #SKU8802J bmw 523

stopping or remaining at rest on the carriage way of expressway

trying to force cam taxi to a stop or cause an accident by blocking

This is a Rich man bullying a taxi driver who is trying to earn a living. Maybe it’s time to imposing caning for such road rage cases! These rich men always treat the roads as their playground!

No matter what the taxi driver have done earlier does not give the BMW driver the right to engage in such retaliatory behaviour which could cause serious accidents and even fatalities to other innocent motorists.

[Quoted]

“The BMW driver of SKU8802J said I was hogging the 1st lane. That's how he started his road rage. He overtook me and then started to block me and sopped in-front of my car on an expressway.

When we exited KPE and stopped in the shoulder after Hougang/Tampines exit. He exited from his car and came over to my car, fortunately a LTA police stopped and came up and ask us what happened with all the braking and stopping in the KPE tunnel.

Driver got into his car and drove off after I asked the LTA police to call for the TP using his walkie talkie." - cam car driver.

This incident happened at 0015 hour on 9/1/21. Police Report NP299 was filed on 9/1/21 at 0111hrs.”

If - only if - what is said is all that happened, and nothing else,

then i think the BMW driver should be taken off the road permanently, for the sake of mankind.

hogging might be bad, but it certainly won't kill. This a-hole BMW driver can potentially kill, many.

BMW was wrong to turn right from that "go straight" lane and unfortunately done it carelessly causing an accident (the right most lane in fact can go straight too,  more reasons BMW not to turn right)

However, do you all notice the roadworks immediately after the turn?

This possibly created a significant jam for cars turning right, tempting some inpatient drivers to jump que and use the next lane  (that supposed to go straight only).... Hence, in such a situation, good to drive defensively and predict such behaviour from other road users (especially bikes). Toyota Wish could also just follow behind the Vezel/HRV and  change lane cautiously, look out for that illegal turn from BMW... to avoid an accident.

Btw,  did the cam car tried to turn right too initially? Not sure...

The roadwork has been there for some time.

Most turning cars don’t line up on the RIGHT most lane way after Sim Lim Sq junction.

The q could be 300m long already when the accident happened

a few problems:

1. road work blocking the extreme right turn lane, probably have caused traffic to queue up, and MW was trying to turn using the send lane .

2. the toyota was blocked by another car on lane 1 immediately after the right turn, so he tried to take  lane 2 or manybe even lane 3

3. the BM was making a right turn but had never expected the wish to take more than lane 1 after the turn

all the three add up caused the problem but BM is the  root cause of the problem.

Most drivers don't have lane discipline doing lane turning.

Whenever I am in lane 2 (from right), I usually see what the car on lane 1 do.

Most drivers will turn from Lane 1 into 2.

IMHO.
The lane markings on the road, IIRC,  allows the Toyota to turn into any  of the outer lanes.
It doesn't matter if there are construction or not,   the road markings need to be observe unless impossible.
