This is Singapore - everyone insists on exercising their rights! From not giving way to cycling 2 abreast hogging the bus behind to taking a leisurely stroll across the zebra crossing. Can't really tell who is more at fault in this instant - did the other car change to the outer lane? Did he signal? And did cam car cut in despite that?

Given that there was no car/s behind cam car, it is easy to judge what people should do while we sit on chair and analyze at our own pace (real situation could be different). I have came across number of times when people use giveway sign to merge lane sign and don't want to let other go first and the person who want to turn left get stuck because the person who suppose to give way now in that lane and other cars behind him. 1

Jamesc Hypersonic March 8, 2021 Share March 8, 2021 Some people are thinking of doing PHV maybe part time or full time but not quite sure if its right for them. Just answer these 3 simple questions to know if you should sign up immediately or don't waste your time lah. Q1) Driving on lane 1 on the PIE and you want to come off the next exit. a) I will move to lane 3 early leaving lots of time to form up on the left lane and exit safely. b) I will wait a while but still leaving enough time to exit safely. c) Only after I almost pass the exit then I will jam brake cut 3 lanes and always exit always driving on the chevrons. That's what they are there for right? Someone made the effort to paint it so better use it lah. Q2) Turning left from a small lane to a main road a) I will turn carefully so won't hit the kerb with the back wheel. b) I will turn closer to the kerb but just miss the kerb lah. c) Not my car what, rental car so I will just whack lah Q3) After I drop off my passanger a) I will drive in such a way I don't block and delay other cars. b) I will drive in such a way I don't block and delay other cars most of the time lah. c) I will race with other cars and when they beat me I will play jam brake with them. No customers so boring, not my car what so just whack and enjoy lah. If you answered all C then Congraulations sign up today, you were born to drive a PHV. If you answered all B then if you try harder and change your driving style then maybe you have a chance. If you answered all A then don't waste your time lah. You are just not cut out to be a PHV driver.

Carbon82 Moderator March 8, 2021 Share March 8, 2021 Kena hit and run by this f*cker today. Zigzag while lane splitting, hit and damage my left wing mirror and left a long scratch on the rear door. Going to make police report now (just manage to retrieve the cam footage and saw the company logo on that f*cker uniform). 4 7

Yes it is slower, but I won't miss my exit. Roundabout rules state that vehicle must exit at the next immediate exit when on the leftmost lane. It is exactly this 'keep to leftmost lane so that won't miss exit' that is the cause of majority of the accidents in roundabout. Miss an exit, then just go one round and you will be back. No biggy right?

I have the video footage from the 2 car cam installed at the front and rear windscreen, which captured the uniform details. I shall not post the video and company details here while TP is looking into the report I have just made. Will post update here once I hear from the TP. In the mean time, I urge all to invest in good car cam for such unforseen needs. I am thankful that the footage I have are highly visible and that help in the police report for sure. 2 hours ago, Volvobrick said: Ask Mustank don't give chance with his Musso when he sees this FBE 6613! Mai lah, let the law deal with such f*cker. Not worth to get someone to get into trouble by taking things into their own hands. @SiLangKia thanks for your good gesture but let leave him alone. Either the law or someone higher up will 'take care' of him when his time come. Not saying that I already see open or no longer feeling the pain (from the damages done to my precious ride), but it is just not worth for us to stain our hand by taking revenge, or to be angry over things that's not within our control. Thanks all bro here. Stay safe, drive safe and enjoy every good day.
Kopites Supersonic March 8, 2021 Share March 8, 2021 (edited) Track him on his bike nos and not on his work shirt. Such uniform is easily available if sub con worker being deplored to work in joint project. Also be mentally prepared if TP deem as "non injury" accident and advised "according". Litterally mean proceed with insurance claim. Case closed. Edited March 8, 2021 by Kopites ↡ Advertisement 1
