Travel for work no choice, visiting relatives if can wait better to wait lo, unless have some urgent issues need to visit relatives.

But heard news reported that the HK bubble travel will depart as per schedule. 😅

Delayed and most likely cancel😂😂😂

Good sense prevailed over desperation (on SG's side mainly) concerning the air travel bubble. It is crazy to continue given fact that our TT system adoption is still in-progress and rise in unlinked cases in HK.

PRC is leading the world in covid control, and they have a vaccine, yet even with such advantages, the situation in HK is worsening. It shows the problem they face there now is quite challenging. We would be wise to keep them away for a little while longer.

If want to take a risk, we might as well use our "risk budget" to test re-opening our ktv and nightlife first, given our now zero community cases - rather than establishing travel with foreign countries.

To establish these travel bubbles in spite of the risk from overseas while our local scene still remains not fully open and back to normal .... is strange.

According to Prof Yuan, PRC and HK has different containment strategy.

In PRC, if a case is found, the entire area (小區) is locked down till everyone is swabbed.

The same approach cannot be done in HK.  Accordingly, once there is outbreak, it will spike quickly.

U turn again.

Not uncommon. 😄

At least traveler able to get back full refund of the air ticket if they choose to cancel the entire trip, no need to pay for any penalty.

SG situation is more like HK. Even when the contacts are traced, they are only encouraged to get tested, not rounded up for compulsory test.

All the more the travel bubble should be suspended.

the most headeache is already did covid test 72hrs before departure and now gone case?

Actually how many people here had already taken the covid test before the government announcement to last minute delay the travel bubble arrangement? The number should not be more then 600 right? Coz the max flight is 200 per flight and Sunday have only 2 flights out. Monday only have 1 flight out. I means these flight purely for Sin-hkg-sin travel bubble flight.

So say max number 600 * 200 (round off the nearest 100) = $120k. (worst case scenario). What is $120k to the government when government had already spend billions of dollars to help to save the economy from collapsing due to covid-19? So maybe these people could take covid-19 test again for free if they want to go Hong Kong again in later date when the travel bubble is reopened again. As it is a very last minute announcement and it would not be fair for these people who had already paid for the covid-19 test and end up like wasted money due to less then 24 hours to flight departure suddenly say postpone.

Why is Singapore not working hard for a travel bubble with Australia? Most states have 0 community transmission for months! Even Victoria which was hit by 2nd wave have 0 cases for over 24 days.. On top of that, it's summer down under now, shouldn't it make more sense to create a travel bubble here compared to TW or HK?

wear mask for 8-10+ hrs flight ... no food ... just drink water bottle ...

i don't think anyone will go especially family vacation with kids ... no way

HK and TW is the best for bubble "trial" liao ... 3-4.5hr ... at least can tahan ...

but still probably biz and essential travel only ...

It's a big assumption that Australia want bubbles. Unlike Singapore they have a good sized population with no real need to get tourists in.

Australia is still limiting it's own citizen's return so they should get priority to go home, some stuck overseas since the beginning.
