Total of 24 potential re-infection cases in dormitories so far... and that is not count the unannounced case (as reported by zaobao) at another dormitory.

Vaccinated people in the US can now go outdoors without a mask most of the time

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/stunning-progress-covid-19-biden-celebrates-easing-mask-rules-14705818

Fully vaccinated people can safely engage in outdoor activities like walking and hiking without wearing masks but should continue to use face-coverings in public spaces where they are required, US health regulators and President Joe Biden said on Tuesday (Apr 27), while urging those who have not to get the shot.

Fingers crossed we're not far away ourselves after all, this comes from Jedi Fauci, not Biden.

CDC has said less than 10% of cases had been contracted outdoors, and that the chances of getting it was "slim" and near zero with vaccination, so long as people are still sensible. Oh, wait........ I've just put "US" and "sensible" in the same sentence, oops. Jewish owned space lasers starting forest fires, anybody?

India willing to spend billions on exploring the space (moon & Mars) & nuke weapons than on their poor citizens ...

Correct, India is not the same as indonesia or philippines where a lockdown would devastate livelihoods of the poor and their govts are unable to subsidize.

India is high-tech with a lot of resources and potential, but not willing to spend on improving the people's lives. Tech-wise and human capability, I don't think they are very far behind china but the common people's lot is very different.

Don’t have too high hopes my friend.

Post-Covid-19 vaccine infections and reinfections could happen, say experts
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/post-vaccine-infections-and-reinfections-could-happen-say-experts

Prof Teo warned that from time to time, infections among people who have been vaccinated will emerge, "especially if they are moving about in high-risk environments where they are constantly being exposed to the coronavirus".

Peeking into the crystal ball, he predicted: "Unless we can assess an individual's immunity to infection, the likelihood that we will have to remain masked up for a long time more is a very real one."

I agree on this part

Quote

But there is some upside, he said. "Going around masked in public and observing safe distancing has resulted in dramatic drops in the rates of other infectious diseases such as hand, foot and mouth disease and influenza."

with all the measures in the past year, really didn't fall ill or take mc.

S’pore Now 160th In World Press Freedom Index, Drop In Ranking Ironically Omitted By Local Mainstream Media

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has recently ranked Singapore’s press freedom 160 out of 180 in the 2021 World Press Freedom Index.

RSF is a non-profit organisation that states their mission is to preserve the freedom of information around the world, as well as to protect journalists.

This may come as a surprise to you – or not – but the irony here is that news about our ranking was notably absent on our mainstream media.

Let's see when the numbers & evidence starts to pile in.

If the replication number / network effects of a widely vaccinated population proves overwhelmingly effective, at some point some of our existing restrictions may well prove pointless.

Fewer colds are a nice side benefit, but I sure wouldn't mandate an emergency public health directive to eliminate "colds".

The less exposed we are to infections, the less effective our own immune systems become over time - so if we manage to catch a cold, it could hit much harder.

South Korea - vaccinated travellers exempt from quarantine...

Unclear if this also applies for foreigners - if so, Singaporeans could utilise this.

(although currently we still need quarantine coming back home)

Gov't to Exempt Fully Vaccinated People from Mandatory Quarantine

http://world.kbs.co.kr/service/news_view.htm?lang=e&Seq_Code=161157

Starting on May 5, fully vaccinated people will be exempt from an otherwise mandatory two-week self-quarantine after coming into contact with an infected patient or when arriving from overseas.

In a Wednesday briefing, senior Health Ministry official Yoon Tae-ho said people who have received both vaccine doses, have test negative and are without symptoms will not be required to enter the isolation period.

He added, however, they will be monitored for two weeks, during which they will be tested twice. Monitoring refers to a daily report of their health status made to authorities.

Yoon said the exemption will not apply to those arriving from countries where virus variants are prevalent such as South Africa and Brazil. Those vaccinated overseas with Russian or Chinese vaccines that are not authorized in South Korea will also be excluded.

this one may be a mistake in the making. they have evidence of reinfection of recovered and vaccinated.

They included three community cases and no new cases from migrant workers' dormitories, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

More details will be announced on Wednesday night.

I tot once kena before, will have immunity? Or are they re-infected by a different strain?

the mutations are not large enough to be considered different strain by scientific methodology. it is only the spike proteins that changed. this is classified as variants.

immunity is classified scientifically into 2 levels. so a reinfection, scientists suspect, is due to the body not able to muster a defense at the level 2 immunity.

for clearer explanation, you have to read the publications or watch some youtubers explain more.. im just a layman

JUST IN: : A nurse at Tan Tock Seng Hospital has tested positive for Covid-19. A doctor and 3 other patients in the same general ward have also tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19 infection. The affected ward has been locked down. The doctor and 3 patients are not included in the daily case count as further testing is ongoing.

The other 2 community cases today are an ICA officer at Changi Airport Terminal 1 and a male Singaporean who tested positive for COVID-19 during a pre-departure test on 26 April in preparation for his trip back to Nepal
