If you have $1m in the bank at 88, you can have many pastime and exercising publicly with a broom is probably not one of them.

This things about old people in Singapore still working as cleaners and recyclers to pass time is nothing more than urban legend. It is a disgrace.

Said by none other than Ah Tan, our speaker of parliament.

I don’t know if it’s because he said that that’s why become speaker or because he spoke out against LHL.

Don't celebrate too soon...

4 NEW CASES OF LOCALLY TRANSMITTED COVID-19 INFECTION

As of 7 May 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 4 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection. Based on our investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.

2.     In addition, there are 21 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Amongst them, 15 are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents

3.     In total, there are 25 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore today.

4.     We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight.

Let me say it again, low risk doesn't mean no risk. The fact remains that a person may be tested negative today, but become positive tomorrow, simply because of incubation period. Below (NOT today case) is a very good testimonial to what I have said.

jialat liao ...

this means all vaccinated FW ... initially thought no need to test regularly .... then now better test once a month?

else vaccinated FW (Pfizer / Moderna) could get infected with new variant and display no symptoms? [sweatdrop]

If this trend continue, means resale price will spike again.

All the BTO will be delayed.

Be careful of the one holding the broom. If you happen to pass by Shaolin temple, the monk sweeping the yard in the corner is often ignored, but likely is the ultimate kung fu master. Do not underestimate the one hiding in plain sight.

To be exact, Ah Tan mentioned about picking up cardboard as a form of exercise for these folks 😑

Able to live until 88 year old is one thing, and able to work when you are 88 year old is another thing. Both things also not easy to achieve lo. I dont think i am able to achieve it. Lol.

How many can live till 88 and still be moving around? Who knows by then the first thing when wake up is to take a fist full of pills?

Best is pass away peacefully during sleep :relief:
