A committee of doctors and experts, set up by MOH, has proposed that the entire adult population in Singapore should be vaccinated, but to also make vaccinations voluntary.

Priority for vaccines will be given to those who are at greatest risk, such as healthcare workers and frontline personnel, as well as the elderly and vulnerable.

Vaccines will then be offered to the rest of the population progressively, with the goal of covering everyone who wants vaccination by the end of 2021.

PM Lee also announced that Singapore is also bringing in other vaccines, and if all goes according to plan, there should be enough vaccines for everyone in Singapore by the third quarter of 2021.

And making the vaccine free for everyone, incl long term residents!

seems like not much different from phase 2.

5 people gathering up to 8 people ? wow, that's a lot !

still have to wear mask ? still have ambassadors catching and fining people not wearing mask ?

 

looking forward to phase 4, phase 5....

Yeah, I hate wearing them too - but let's see, as the large majority of the population gets vaccinated & our neighbouring countries gets things under control, I'm sure we can eventually get rid of them late 2021 - initially outdoors & then finally indoor.

It'll be a great day when we can finally store them in the bomb shelter & keep them ready for any future respiratory pandemic...

TT token collection is not available in every estate yet even today. Seem doubtful that there'll be pervasive availability by year end.

Curious where's the bottleneck considering gahmen is the one pushing for tokens adoption.

Someone posted a question is vaccination means safe from covid? The ministers said vaccine doesnt 100% makes a person safe from transmission etc, so safe distancing, wearing of mask etc still continues. Guess even wfh should continue also?! Lol.

Degree of sterilizing immunity from the vaccines are still unknown. (=passing on the virus even when vaccinated & healthy)

However, the vaccines does seem to protect and limit people from getting severe illness (or croak), even in those minority of cases where the vaccine doesn't stop the infection.

CV-19 might never "disappear", but these effective vaccines should help us deescalate it, similar to the endemic flu,
