I'm on Zero1 6u plan $13.90/mth.  Generally works well, no issue with coverage since it's on Singtel network.  Only issue faced is cannot dial to toll free 800 numbers.

Supercharged

nope, TPG is true telco with own network that doesn't have complete coverage for MRT lines yet:

"For MRT lines,  we currently have full network coverage on North-East Line (NEL) and Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).

Works continue to ensure all the remaining MRT lines are covered by 2H 2021."

a lot of complaints for their service (or lackthereof)...

Some M1 SIM only has contract.

I canceled my M1 in Oct and ported to Giga. I didn't realise I was on a contract cos all i had was one sms confirming a recontract. But my monthly bills never reflected that i was on a contract, which is usually reflected.

Argued with the CS on 2 separate occasions and finally got the early termination fee waived.

I called up my CS to double chop confirm no contract. 😁

https://www.starhub.com/personal/promotions/senior-privileges.html

I subscribed for my mum starhub’s $8 senior citizen plan - 5GB, 350mins, free caller id. No complains.

Thanks, this looks attractive.

I called SH shop near my place, was told there is also a $5 senior plan but must attend Senior Go Digital course first, and will get a letter for the promo after finishing the course.

For $8 plan can just walk in.

This plan has no sms, so either bundle with sms or pay 5c per outgoing sms.

Tonight I ask my mum.

These days no need for contracts anymore.

Wife and I used to pay close to $100 per month on telco bill, now only $20

With all that savings, it's good for folks that hardly change their cellphones like us.

Now it feels ridiculous to buy those phone + plan from telco. They lock you in for 2 years, with expensive plans.

End up paying thousands of dollars.

Now you can buy a cheap china phone, with lots of muscle from shopee, lazada or qoo10, and sign up for a cheap no contract, SIM  only plan.

Cheap phone?

I bought a very expensive phone for my MIL.

I paid more than 100 dollars for it. I paid 110 dollars branded Xiaomi phone.

Paired with 8 dollars redone plan 300 mins to MY and get another 100 extra mins for payment by giro and 3gb unlimited surfing even in MY.

:D
