Take note that Giga does not support IDD calls when overseas.

You can do Whatsapp call etc. But if you need to call a landline number when overseas e.g. airline help desk, you have find another way.

Didn't really think too much about this. But usually i book airlines and with the hotel directly to minimise problems.

Recently read some horror story about this woman who booked with booking.com (which I've used multiple times before as well).
She called back to SG and incurred like 500-600 dollars in roaming charges which they refuse to pay.

she was in NZ and in panic mode, some time you just need to calm down n find the best solution. When the hotel say no booking, then book another room if not book another hotel, calling the booking platform also no use, they can't give you a room immediately.

yeah. Booking.com I've used quite a number of times in NZ and Australia. It's usually my preferred booking website for there (non airbnb).

Haha so took notice.

I am sure she only told one side of the story.

Wifey always carry a printout of the hotel booking

I always have an email confirmation in my phone

All she needs is internet access to retrieve the hotel conformation email

IF

she actually booked it.

:D

I quote jamesc MIL

Thousands of people book hotels in every country in the world

how come only she had this problem?

Wifey always use booking and I always use Hotel

and we have never had any problems with both sites.

The real problem is the nut behind the keyboard.

Must be tofu generation!

:D

Both are excellent websites.
