The future I think will be more like actually no need to travel overseas unnecessary to discuss projects or business. Just need to go on zoom meeting. It maybe sometimes just travel to meet up and built rapport or it is the super important project and want to show sincerely. So flying is enough, as later the hsr demand is not there? Then will be lose money project. MRT from woodlands to johor is different case, as that open up the blue collar worker to travel from Singapore to jb and vice versa to work. HSR within their own country is unlikely to work for them. Who will want to buy car? During pre covid times there are many flights between SG-KL KL-SG. Stop at Sg will mean tourists and visitors can bypass whole of southern MY. Why would they even alight? Making it terminate at JB will make it a hub.
