Not everyone need a car with convenient public transportation in Singapore. Seriously compare to other countries our public transport quite good. Car is really a luxury for most of us. Imagine if govt don't control the growth of car population and just let the number of cars grow and grow in our small country, and every time you step into the car traffic jam also sian. ↡ Advertisement

And if they increase vehicle growth forever every year, don't you think we won't have enough land for all these cars? Once again, you fail to see the big picture but only care about what you want. Given a choice, everyone also want to own a car. If you can't understand the simple logic of why this is not feasible, please migrate to another country where they don't have our land problem. Or perhaps the alternative is can continue to whine here on MCF and complain about LTA, PAP. Your choice. 1
Fcw75 Hypersonic February 1, 2021 Share February 1, 2021 If given a choice, who want stay here? 🤣 To me, the big picture is the huge influx of foreigners. Are you one? And yes, complaining is past time of Sinkies so suck it up here. 🤣 Love complaining.

For one I appreciate the safety and security of our country which most countries are not able to provide. Even COVID is pretty much under control in Singapore I can let my 6 year old daughter go to the playground alone with not much worries. My wife can wear ultra short skirt for clubbing with her female friends and come home tipsy safely. Traffic is not as bad as in some countries where a 2Km journey takes 90 mins. Everything there's a price to pay, for all these I willing to pay for.

Yup, I'm glad I know how to appreciate my own country and look at the overall picture and not focus on a few things. Nothing is perfect. Especially whenever I travel for business trips, or leisure, every time I come back, when I reach Singapore especially at the immigration, I will appreciate the efficiency of Singapore and I always think, there's no place like home. tjyand 2nd Gear February 3, 2021 Share February 3, 2021 Agree on how we should appreciate where we are. Just look across the border- multiple hotel and business closures, increased crime due to poverty, high transmission rates with sub-standard healthcare. COE sucks and we pay so much for a 10 year “lease” on our car, but I much rather be here than there right now.
