Predicting Cat A and B COE price will drop 1-3% in each of the next 3 bids. Total number of bids seem to be on a downward trend.

Whilst it is true that number of bids have shrunk, available COE over the next few mths are also lesser so your prediction seems abit optimistic to me. Let’s see.

Looking at today Straits Times so many cars promotion, people may cheong to cars showroom and see see and may buy buy. So COE maybe will just stay at current level as I believed dealers now quite cautious to avoid COE go above current level.

We are just at the start of the COE supply drought.  Based on 10 years cycle, COE was the highest around 2012 and 2013.

The only hope for higher supply is the expiring 5 years COE renewals AND assuming these owners switch to other modes of transport.

Fewer COEs in Feb-April quota

SINGAPORE - There will be 12.8 per cent fewer certificates of entitlement (COEs) for car buyers and sellers in the next three-month quota period starting from February.

Some people in this forum still believe COE supply will remain stable bcos there are many 5 year COE renewal and these cars will soon have to be scrapped.

PHVs are coming in to replace their COE cars as well over the next 1-2 years.

they believe those whom scrap will not be able to afford to continue to get replacement? Those whom scrap their car are poor but they themselves sitting fence is richer? what logic is this?
