Shoot water first, soon to be followed by batons, then bullets.

Myanmar police fire water cannon in Naypyidaw, warn protesters to disperse or face force

Have to go all in and show hand. The Junta won't back down and lose face among themselves.

Either suck it up and live under the Junta.

Or show hand and bleed until the rank-and-file police and soldiers decide they cant keep shooting the civilians and throw their lot in. Until it gets to that stage, nothing will change.

Yes it sucks.

Razer co-founder Lim Kaling exits investment in Myanmar after military coup

Singapore gaming company Razer’s co-founder and director Lim Kaling said on Tuesday (Feb 9) that he will exit his investment in a tobacco firm in Myanmar after the military coup there caused him “grave concern".

In a statement issued to the media, Mr Lim said he is disposing of his one-third stake in a joint venture that owns RMH Singapore, which in turn owns 49 per cent of Myanmar’s cigarette maker Virginia Tobacco Company. Mr Lim also noted that this investment in Myanmar – his “only remaining” exposure in the country – was started nearly three decades ago under very different circumstances.

all the soldiers should quit the army for the health of the country.

when there's no soldiers, there's no military coup.

According to local journal Frontier Myanmar, some police officers charged with controlling the crowds in the central town of Magway crossed over to join the protesters, a reminder of the growing defiance  civil servants are showing against the administration set up by commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing.

Thats the only way to overturn the Junta rule. Like I said before, only when rank-and-file soldiers/police fed up.

For a while I thought you was citing our parachuting troop.

Seem like applicable to local context as well. Hahaha

The general sometimes forget foot soldiers also face grievances from their civilian family members.

Actually i dont understand why the protest.

Isn't aung san suu kyi just a front for the junta, meaning the army was in charge all along?

So they removed her, no more facade, but its business as usual for the citizens. There are still jobs, food, school, freedom of movement etc? Its not like the country had a long history of democracy that the people must defend at all costs?
