Hav u checked the price (depreciation/yr) your car can fetch with COE renewed?

An estimate of your car's depre if u renew COE => 12K (your PARF) + 107K (10 yr PQP) = 129K = 12.9K depre/yr

If the price of a same model COE car has an asking price of around 15K depre/yr, then I'd renew my COE if I were u.

Hmm the new vezel petrol variant is about $15k depre.

but Once i renew coe, in between 10 years I wanna sell, I only get back paper… ? No body already?

Depends on the make and model of your car, should have body value also.

The good thing is, if u renew your COE, you may be able to make a little money out of your current car if u sell it shortly after renewing.

Not sure what car you're driving now, but if you find the Vezel to be a comparable ride to your current car, then I think getting Vezel makes sense.

You looking at vezel hybrid means you want a  crossover instead of sedan? What is your priority? Space , fuel consumption?

some price lower to attract the buyer, but then in the fine print, the coe bid will be only up to a certain (probably unrealistic) amount, and buyer may need to top up etc ..

Welcome to the club!

Tried sedan, coupe, 2 dr carbiolet, 5 door hatch, stationwagon, SUV, 2wd, 4wd, ICE, Hybrid...

Life is too short to be sticking to one type of car.

Just don't ask me to drive an MPV... :D

Historic trend says everything drop.

But market sentiment could say otherwise.

If Property Developers bidded for land in 2020/2021 at sky high price, there might be something we don’t know.

They shore up the land bank ..

Got land can build .. no land cannot build ..no sales

but one thing that constantly surprises me. With the green initiatives to save Mother Earth and the sand embargoes. Where is the sand coming from for new building?

now back to the high coe n the conspiracy theories on leasing firm chasing the prices

Some of the low price may come with low Coe bid price, so eventually won't be able to get it unless top up.  This is one trick dealers use to advertise.

When PQP is very high like now, it is not worth renewing Coe because the difference from buying a new car is much smaller in terms of percentage, when compare to low PQP and low Coe level.

For instance when PQP and Coe are very low, the renewed Coe car may cost $7k per annum and new car cost $10k, which is 30% cheaper.

But when PQP and Coe are very high, the renewed Coe car may cost $12k and new car cost $15k, the difference is 20% cheaper only.

Vezel is CUV.  Maybe a tad taller than Sedan.

True-blue SUV is like Fortuner.

Something like Harrier? How about Corolla Cross or Niro?
