NETS Cashcard

Hi guys,

I have just noticed my current NETS Cashcard is expiring in a couple of months time.

May I check if first generation of Cashcards are still readily available? If not I better start looking out for it soon.

I am unable to use the new version as I am still on the old dinosaur IU

Convenience Stores: 7-Eleven, Cheers, Buzz Pods, FairPrice Xpress

Online: Lazada, ReCreation and Custom Cards

first Gen cashcards can still be bought at outlets like 7 Eleven, Petrol stations etc

Yes, still readily available at all petrol kiosks

The only problem you will face is manufacturing date, i.e. getting the freshest card.

I bought 2 cards last year that was manufactured in 2024

I got a Flashpay card end of last year when my 1st gen cashcard expired, enticed by the prospect of auto top up and thinking it's been out long enough and surely all the cp operators are on board. Not amused when i found out the adoption was not at all widespread. A few messy transactions later and I am back to the 1st gen card. This new cashcard better be compatible everywhere at launch.

No wonder sometimes I get stuck at carpark gantry. Took some time for the gantry to lift. And at times have to reverse and go forward again. Not sure if it is due to cash card issue. Or my iu problem 😂
