what i can say is he see Perez no up thought he can jiak him at first corner

if it was Mad Max ... don't think Lewis will cheong until tyre locked up

only rookie thought the race is won at 1st corner ....  [laugh]

he had nothing to lose... but if perez did not get the braking point correct, that would have been an instant red flag.

this is  perhaps merc weakest race since the turbo hybrid era started... they were totally off the pace until hammy choose a low downforce set up... helps with the long straight but loses 0.5s through the middle sector meaning no drs on the straight

but it shows hammy is great driver... he dares to make changes to challenge the circumstances and make the most of it... just see bottas 😜

Bottas handed three-place grid drop and penalty points for ‘dangerous driving’ in pit lane spin

2F2F in pit lane ...

Bottas wanna try out new way to move off from pit lane to see whether can gain time which is to move off from gear 2. Coz last race Hamilton lost out to p2 by verstappern undercut and Mercedes thought that 3.2 seconds was enough but it was not. So they do a review and felt that move off from pit lane can be further improved. But then perhaps because of the unknown and the tyre just spin too much and no control.

@Yewheng  in addition to watching out for the usual mercedes and red bull cars, do keep an eye out on lando in the mclaren, he has been quietly doing consistently well this season, with points in every race so far ..

Formula 1: Red Bull warned over Verstappen's victory burnout

Quote

The 23-year-old Dutch driver slowed by his team's pitwall as he took the chequered flag at Austria's Red Bull Ring, a home circuit for his team, and laid down some rubber before accelerating away.

The location of the action, and with the rest of the field still racing flat out to the finish, did not impress Masi who said he followed it up immediately.

apologies in advance and no offence to max fans, thats the thing with max .. he doesnt seem to think broader ..

latifi was going at high speed past the start/finish line to start his final lap when max slowed almost to a stop and then did the burnout ..

i agree, not the right thing to do when race is still in progress.

i must say lando norris did well, not just as a relatively new driver, but also in relation to the more experienced (and very good) ricciardo ..

should consider Russell as succession planning to replace Hamilton ...

Bottas is not a No. 1 driver ... he is a team player ...  like Ricciardo ... can drive good but not No. 1 quality

Rusell can be grommed to replace Hamilton and meantime support Hamilton

Hamilton, Vettel and now Max ... they show the lead driver quality when young
