Looking at the video clip, I was wondering where the yellowish sand color in the flood water comes from. I started looking for construction sites along Bukit Timah and found some possible culprits.

  • Mayfair Gardens                   - Rifle Range Rd & Dunearn Rd
  • Royalgreen                             - Anamalai Ave & Bukit Timah Rd
  • Fourth Avenue Residences - Fourth Ave & Bukit Timah Rd

there should be sensors to detect trapped hands etc to prevent doors closing (and therefore bus driving off) ..

and shouldnt there be thick rubber strips along the edge of the doors (like the ones we have on spore buses) to allow one to free one's hands from the closing doors?

Somehow they never fail to choose the wrong side to overtake, not saying the car is no wrong. Have a feeling the ending would have been the same even if the car had signalled, judging from what I see on the roads.

When car turn left the bike will overtake on the left.

When car turn right the bike will overtake on the right.

More vidoes to see.

How many times a bike will under cut

a car when turn from a small road to a man road?

Ok - I got my answer: you can't cycle against the flow of traffic, even on a pavement, I'm guessing..

Quote

LTA said that during the operations, officers were deployed at Ayer Rajah Expressway, West Coast Highway, Bukit Timah and Tanah Merah Coast Road.

"While most were law-abiding, we did find 16 cyclists who rode on the road without helmets," LTA added. Another 16 were caught beating the red light. "Two also rode against the flow of traffic."

Something similar happened to a classmate of mine almost 40 yr ago. He was dragged by a double decker at MacRitchie for just a few metre, fortunately...

I'm one of them. The driver is a complete ass clown for not signalling. Signalling is NOT optional.

The motorcyclist was impatient and should have been riding more defensively (with the car doing funny things like slowing down or stopping) but overtaking over a single unbroken white line is completely legal per se.

The car is totally breaking the law by not signalling.
