SE ask you don't be a noisy jerk and press the button at the tip or head and pull gently

just do what she say lah.

Obviously she has a good reason for it.

:D

If a lady teach me how to hold the tip and how to press and pull gently

I will do it to make her happy.

SE teaching wheel is round?

Just do a hand brake turn and see whats the reaction.

That's how the late krishnan taught me the quickest way to execute a tight U turn.

N for good measure before the SE ask you want the heck u were doing, go excute a J turn..

J turns using handbrakes happens on old Alfa hand brakes which is on the front wheels

There is no right or wrong of pulling the handbrake. Just a preferences.

As long as when you pull there is tension and the brake works, why you care how you pull it? hahaha.

Saying there is no right and wrong way to pull handbrake is like saying there is no right and wrong way to eat.

Some people eat with their mouth wide open and chomp their food with a lot of noise.

In a way it's not wrong but I wouldn't want to sit next to them.

Wow... I need to make sure before I engage reverse and step on gas, the car must ABSOLUTELY stop otherwise the grinding sound is terrible.

I was fiddling with the features and upon reaching the handbrake lever and trying to erect it from a dormant position I just held it and jerked it up.

But I was told by the attending SE that the way I pulled handbrake was too rough and abrupt and got sound.

Hmmmm........... wondering which "lever" you fiddling with the SE ... [sly]

Wrong.

Old fashion handbrake operate by a set of gears (teeth as some called it). Without pressing the releasing button to pull, the teeth in long run will become smooth due to wear & tear. Then it will be ineffective if you suddenly require it. It may cost you your life ... [:(]

I saw a taxi driver kept pressing his foot on the brake on the pie.

Also not wrong what. Accelerate a bit then gently press brake all the way.

Maybe he got come here and ask why need to change brake pad after only 5k?

Also not wrong what.

:D
