How about those travelled from high risk country to a lower risk country and then fly here? They assume the lower risk profile theory still hold?

you know what can be worse than this dog and his supporters?

it's that the 4G team look at his comments and think they did a blady good job so far and have well-received support from the people

then proceed to pat each other's back for a job well done 🤣

other noises can be ignored

They can, provided the low risk country allows them to go, and they spend at least 14/21 days away from the high risk country before coming, and they don't fall ill/test positive during their stay there.

But there are only a few low risk countries now (NZ, China... Etc) and all of them won't allow people from the very high risk places to go.  Travel from all other countries are either banned or subject to 21 days quarantine. One got to be really desperate to come via a third country.

That's red herring by pap, and clearly an afterthought. Singapore has directly imported thousands of people from India in the months during which they have the highest number of cases (still that case now). I also notice they let people go in and out, in and out of the most infected country with a 14-day quarantine period only, although Singaporeans have already told them these measures are not enough and will leak into the community since last year. Also, the Covid testing has a lot of false negatives which Singaporeans have also highlighted.

It's so frustrating pap refuse to listen to our warnings and continue to do mass import directly from the hardest hit country, maintain quarantine at 14 days and do only 1 testing here. There is no excuse. This is a massive failure on their part.

This will not look too bad if quarantine was 21 days from the time news of the game-changing B1617 variant got out (Dec 2020), more testing at interval, and seriously controlling the entry from India. Say if we still have leaks from other countries despite these measures, then that's our risk appetite in a proper risk-based approach which we know pap does not know.

Sorry, please don't say "we". I am not in hor! F the task force!

His meaning of 'we' is Singaporean always get the blame but not the "Task Force" which formed by group of peoples all from Gov side.... :ouch-it-hurts:

One of them even said that the list of the imported cases (posted) are here to built your BTO. Looking at the list, at most 20% are but the rest ... :=B:

So indirectly saying, Singaporean don't want BTO, they won't import... :we-all-gonna-die:

Isn't it 'we' at fault ... :whisper:

so fast csi liao? how come our saf produce so many xia suay people one??

something must have gone wrong.. one by one feel so entitled.. cham lah..

Lucky she is no more in saf. Imagine if she still in saf. She's the type that will disobey law, imagine when she's a leader. She might end up teach or close eye for those who do not want to obey saf rules to their own convenience. Maybe for her and or people down below felt that hey this rule is stupid, don't want follow la, then she agreed and she also never follow, Like that very difficult.

Eventhough there maybe rules that people may not agree or like, it's still a rule set that need to follow. If not the whole organisation will not function well. Same goes to law set in Singapore in the 1st place. Even if some people may not agree or like it. It's a law, so just follow la. If not imagine if too many people do not follow the law, the whole country will not run well too.

Like that, all her years of training in a discipline forces gone down the drain just like that .....

went for my usual sunday morning shopping and makan (dapow)

not totally surprised to see old folk sitting around at common areas, some smoking, some sipping kopi from Styrofoam cups. Others just hanging around with masks off. No SDA to be seen (maybe haven't start duty? it was 7+ am)

do feel sorry for these old folk who probably value this social interaction more than we can understand, but on the other hand, they are the most vulnerable.

Also, I didn't see any big cycling groups on the road. Usually I wld come across 2 or 3 groups. Guess they chiong yesterday to avoid having to go in pairs today.

I was in navy too, but I don't know her. I joined in year 2007 and left in year 2013. Probably my older officer might know her.

That being said,  from these videos that went viral. Can clearly see that she's the type that if something that she don't like or don't agree with, even if it is set as a law to obay, she will not do it. Worst come to worst, just do it for show, after that when no one is checking, she will just back to her ownself. For this case is mask wearing.

Her character had nothing to do with her capabilities. That video is just too short and only show her not wearing mask, it does not show anything about her capabilities in doing work. So there's always 2 side of the coin.

So yeah bash her for not obeying the law, lack of discipline and she will face the music soon. But then if people because of that incident bash her for why she was in the officer in the 1st place. Then I feel that's quite unfair to her. Then also saf is all about discipline, and yes it's of a past. But there will surely have questions in many people mind, how the hell saf select her to be a leader, somemore she was once a commanding officer in a ship. These are the things that saf or perhaps just navy itself need to look into and see what are the gaps and is there any improvement since then and if nothing much had changed, then it's time to review and make it more comprehensive and select the right person to be in leadership position.
