Actually there are two traditional white bread shop near whampoa market. The one which you mentioned is more popular and operate 24/7. The only time they closed is during CNY.

I like their traditional white bread and the vanilla bun. Their red bean bun i find way too sweet, unless you have a super sweet tooth, then you might like it.

The one beside the Singapore Pools shop? I frequent that bakery too. Love their curry potato puff, curry chicken puff and sardine puff. They also do traditional cream cakes.

The curry bread there is 10 cents or 20 cents more expensive than the one at the hawker centre next to the Singapore Pools outlet. After comparing the 2 traditional bakery, I still prefer the one next to the Singapore Pools outlet, it is neither the 2.

The bakery opposite the food centre, beside spore pools shop is Homies bakery if i’m not wrong. Their type of bread in six buns, taste not bad. Got saw that they are selling many puffs, looks like not bad. Lol.
