It may be in bad taste, but just expressing an opinion.

Majority workplace incidents happen in heavy duty industrious environment, where foreign born workers form the bulk. The local reporters cannot spin a picture of how their school going children and elderly dependents now loose their man/woman of the house, and their source of income.

As a result, these fatalities become statistics on the bill-board.

If these fatalities happened SG with a local family, which our society have to step in to assist for the next 20 years, it is difficult to remain reluctant to improve safety, no matter the cost.

Just look at the SAF, safety is now the no.1 priority, and they are dealing with kids doing OJT, in tough environments, on compressed time.

One death is too many, regardless of where the person is from.

And we thought he only knows how to massage ladies! He must have learnt all the management tips while listening to them. His clients must have included top CEOs.
