Klopp must find a way to beat 10 men defense ..... :serious-business:

When other teams played against Pool, always about 8 to 10 men defending and trying to counter attack by catching Pool off guard.... :wut:

I noticed that when other teams playing 10 men defense, Pool likes to bring / dribble the ball to the goal line. Must try shooting from outside penalty box. :yuush:

The question before us is not hard to answer.  If you look at the likes of City, why is it that it is able to open up these defensive teams? The answer is the personnel on the pitch. Besides the front 3 and full backs that joins the attack, the midfield 3 usually comprises 1 or 2 additional attacking player who is able to assist and score from distance.  KVB usually plays as one of the midfield 3.

Contrasted to Pool, usually its midfield 3 are all workhorses but hardly the most skilled technical players...  and none boasts the long distance shooting threat... Thiago may fit the role with his passing and control.. however, he has yet to start producing assists and through passes...

The key is to find the right balance in the team with the set up.  i think Klopp has to be innovative in this regard and try something different in the coming season.

If the squad stays the same, I think Pool wont be one of the favorites for the title. Top 4 should be within its grasp but I think the gap to City, Chelsea and probably Utd will only widen this season.

quite true this, but what is also worrying, is that last season there were a few matches where opponents didn't really put every player behind, but instead took the match to us, and we were so panicky and often were put under constant pressure...

this type signs then really makes me worried... cos we used to get the better of teams that play open-style, like City, Arsenal, Spurs... but suddenly cannot liao...

Liverpool need to have more movement, last time we unlock others team due to the constant movement of forward and midfield. when we lose VD and Gomes we lost a lot of pace at our defence, we end ya with the same highline but mid and wing back do not bombard forward or press that much cause they know once the pressing fail, opponents striker can easily beat out CB by pace. We are playing with more fear then creating fear hence the attack cui imo

Firminho need to go... just like Salah and Mane need to go ... the question is when. They are getting old... must sell when still have good value so that can re-invest the money. Mane looks like he is thinking of moving.

Breaking a defensive side is not easy and cannot be the sole responsibility of the 3 forwards. It is not difficult when we have other weapons. We have tall defenders like VVD & Matip who can threaten from corners. You can get lots of offensive corners when playing against such teams.

Dead ball specialists like TAA & Shaqiri can be very useful when the opponent want to keep our players away from their box. Quick counter attack can be useful as well when we are defending corners. Not to mention VVD's long passes, Keita's & Ox's long shots... and goalscoring AB1.

Oh ya... Thiago needs to get used to the English game and release the ball earlier just like the last few games.

OFFICIAL: Harry Wilson has today completed a £12m transfer to Fulham.

It is reported to include a 15% sell on clause. Earlier in summer LFC rejected £6.5m offer from Benfica.

Seems that Fulham able to complete deal under EFLs strict FFP protocols by delaying the start of the payments until 2022

Another "deadwood" cleared....

Like Grujic, i wonder why Harry Wilson wasnt given a chance to show his worth...

We still have: Origi, Shaqiri, Minamino, Keita, Neco Williams and Nat Phillips

Keita is the problem. Will take a bit hit.

grulic n wilson, just not gd enuf i guess for current liverpool team. Wilson’s long range prowness is what we lack currently though.

Philips, shaq, mina and neco williams shld have no issues with suitors. Matter of price. Origi… if a team wanna play with a focal point, he is still the man. He’s lost at liverpool cos he’s nvr the focal point.
