Liverpool icon Jose Enrique has thanked Edinson Cavani after a Twitter rumour suggested that he was responsible for advising Darwin Nunez to join the Reds instead of Manchester United.

Nunez is reportedly set to become Liverpool's club-record signing over the coming days after the Merseyside club agreed to pay Benfica an initial sum of £64.2million in exchange for his services.

:D

Thank you Cavani

Luis Diaz played for Porto and speaks Portuguese

Nunez played for Benfica and speaks Portuguese

Jota is Portuguese and speaks Portuguese

Firmino is Brazilian and speaks Portuguese

So Salah's replacement should speaks Portuguese

and our whole front line will all speak the same language.

:D

Which left footed right winger can speak Portuguese?

His looks also abit like Torres.

The Harling and Nunez deals were finalised just hours apart...  as coincidental as it seems, we cannot avoid the comparisons between these 2 top strikers and it was likely Pool responded to City's deal so as to keep pace with each other clubs' exploits and advancement in this transfer window.

The rest of the EPL clubs will find it tough to recruit as well as City and Pool and may be at further risk of falling behind as the chasing pack, even before a ball is kicked for the new season.

- Chelsea lost a tons of defenders and its current forwards are unreliable. Lukaku's saga rumbles on

- Arsenal still needs to recruit smartly and rely on young potentials to be purchased and settle.

- Spurs is probably better placed as it probably can just afford to add a couple more good players and the team may be able to secure top 4.  But to fight for title, that may seems pretty far-fetched still.

- Utd - not sure of what are the plans but there are gaping issues all through the squad except for the GK.

Torres Mark II will be good. Think he strays offside too frequently. Need to learn only liverpool opponents’ strikers stray offside!

It is reported that Mané was asking for close to £400,000 a week for a four-year deal to stay with Liverpool.

That would work out at a total, including bonuses, of around £83m over the deal.

Baring any hiccups, this week or next, he should be off to BM for reported £350,000 a week on a 3 year deal.

Thank you for the great service, it’s time to move on.

Our signing of Darwin has created a ripple effect a wave when dealing with English clubs. All immediate mark up 20 to 30 percent.🤔🤔🤔🤔

------------------

"Liverpool and Manchester City are tracking Barcelona and Spain midfielder Gavi, although the 17-year-old's release clause in his contract has now risen to 100m euros (£85.7m). (Marca)"

"Manchester United have opened talks with Barcelona for Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 25, but will not pay over the odds with the Spanish club wanting 100m euros (£85.7m).

Why no one wants to buy Salah?

All waiting to get him next year for free.

:D

Am sure Klopp and FSG will not allow him to run down his contract. It may be a case of take it or leave it very soon...  i suspect a standoff at some point which may not be ideal for either party.

Just said, now that Nunez is in, Pool has a better bargaining party and will not be held to any ransom. The likes of Bobby and Salah are free to leave while the team still have a healthy base group of players to count on.
