BM bid 31m for Mane and Pool laughed away the offer.

:D

We need to be mindful of a little known ruling, known as the “Webster Ruling”

Below is the write up, but example used is R Lewandowski.

“Article 17 of FIFA's Regulations states any player who signed a contract before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed - a fact that Lewandowski's agent Pini Zahavi knows well.

The term has been labelled the 'Webster Ruling' after Andy Webster set the precedent during his move from Hearts of Midlothian to Wigan Athletic in 2006. The rule states that any player that does chose this option, must provide the club with a form of compensation.

If Lewandowski were to terminate his deal, he would only have to compensate Bayern with the salary of his last year of the contract - estimated at €24 million.

This would be considerably less than what Barcelona are willing to offer for the Pole, with the Catalan side said to be ready to fork up a €32m fee.”

So if say Mane is on £150,000 per week, then one year is barely £8 mil…..

Will he do that? Can he do that?

I think Harry Kane and Son has never won any cups like FA or League or PL or CL.

Maybe at their age they would like to win something and might consider joining Pool even if they have to take a pay cut.

Quite frankly they have millions and won't be hungry but hitting their 30s they might just want to win something.

:D

I would love you to replace Mane

Where do I sign?

If that Sonny is joining Pool I also want to come OK?

Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool boss crowned Premier League manager of the season. Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp has been named Barclays Premier League manager of the season and won the Sir Alex Ferguson trophy for the LMA manager of the year.

:D

I even won the PL, how can they give it to him?

@Beregond That's even cheaper to pay up his contract and leave..... So Bayern have the upper hand. And there are reports that they feel the bid is acceptable as it is approximately the same amount from Thiago. Who similarly was left with one year contract.

The rebuild of the the first klopp team..  tbf, Mane was really the most successful signing from soton and probably the first klopp star signing

i would tell bayen, if lewindoski is worth $x, pay 2.5x for mane.  no? we keep him 1 more yr. and let him walk free

Konate says Nkunku is the best player in the Bundesliga this season and he is close to him.

Faster Ibou call him and he can be Mane's replacement.

Some transfer news update (gleam and piece together from various sources online), some are just rumors and speculation, so take it with a tablespoon of salt:

1) BM 2nd bid for Mane is deem not good enough (£23.5M upfront plus £6.5M add ons. The add ons are apparently for the 3 years he will be with them, they win the CL and he wins the Ballon D’or)

2) We are closed to getting Darwin Nunez of Benfica/Uruguay. (€80M upfront and €20M add ons). If true and deal goes through, will comfortably smash our record signing

3) Minamino is attracting interest from the likes of Leeds and Southampton (£15M)

4) Ox looks like leaving also, with a year left on his contract and no news of extension. West Ham is touted as a possible destination (£15 - 20M)

5) Keita will be offer an extension (also on last year). Seems that he will continue

6) Close to signing a right back from Aberdeen (Ramsey) for a reported fee of £4M.

Just received rumors an hour ago that Darwin Nunez had agreed to the term & condition to come to Liverpool on a 5 years deal. Pool Director is at Benfica now talking to Benfica management.

If all runs well, DN will report to Liverpool this weekends. :a-happy:
