Wondering if it is possible to create an EV with manual gearbox

from engineering pov its totally possible and doable. just treat the ev as a combustion engine, add a gearbox and a clutch to it.

but there is alot of power lost in the process and it totally dun make sense.

Exactly. ICE cars have gearboxes to address the narrow torque and power range of an ICE. Since an electric motor has a super wide rpm range, then a gearbox is not needed (or at most 2 speeds). Why put a gearbox back?

Most EV has single speed GB.

Taycan has 2 speed GB for low-end torque and top speed.

What I meant to say was a multi-speed, self-selectable gearbox, be it auto or manual. Don't think you can choose the GB speed in the Taycan.

Supercharged

Engine was created to solve problem of converting stored energy (fuel) into motion

Gearbox was created to solve problem of engine only working well at small range of RPM

Auto Gearbox was created to solve problem of lazy humans refusing to spend effort on changing gears

Electric motor can convert stored energy (battery electrons) to motion without needing to maintain a small RPM range, so no problem for gearbox to solve

It is too heavy for those setups you mentioned.

EV can 1, 2 or 4 motors driving the wheels.
