BMW's futuristic CE 04 electric scooter is no longer a concept — it will enter production in early 2022. Nearly unchanged from the concept, the CE 04 sports the same forward-looking design and a 42 horsepower electric drivetrain. Made for urban commuting, the CE 04 will have stability and traction control, antilock brakes, and a top speed of about 75 MPH. Range is estimated at 81 miles. A 10.25-inch TFT screen offers navigation and smartphone connectivity, along with a vented USB-C charging compartment specifically for your phone. Expect the CE 04 to arrive at dealers in mid-2022.

BMW is adding a new member to its growing family of cars, SUVs and motorcycles—but you won’t need any keys for it.

This September, the company will launch the BMW E-Scooter, the automaker has announced. Designed in collaboration with scooter company Micro,

BMW’s newest set of wheels comes in a stylish matte black finish, has a range of 7.5 miles and can reach a top speed of 12 miles per hour. This power comes courtesy a 150-watt motor and lithium-ion battery hidden in the scooter’s footplate.

not bad. quite nice. hope its affordable. I'd certainly like to have one.

I always though electric scooters and motorcycles is a viable form of transport in Singapore

- our island is small, to and fro between destination is well within the range of the scooter/motorcycle

- doesnt produce the kind of crotch-scorching heat that our combustion engine produce.

Ive been wondering why full e-bikes taken so long to take off... no money to be made?

my friend asked the same question some time back when we were discussing EVs/Tesla etc.

Motorcycle market has shrunk in developed world. And will continue to shrink.
Bikers are getting older in Europe, USA and JP. And the older they are, the less likely they will ride.

It is only an aspirational product in Level 3 countries. And if these countries have expanding middle class, more will change to cars than scooters.

Ride sharing apps will only accelerate the process. Actually GoJek has made it even optional to own a scooter in say JKT. Cos u can just have your own chauffer on a scooter.

Motorbikes have a bad reputation. They create their own rules and do what they like. Much like pmd and bicycles.

Somemore electric powered motorbikes are silent and mobile, can ride on footpaths and into void decks to avoid gantry parking. If the lift is big enough can even ride all the way up to the rider's hdb unit and park at the doorstep.

BMW used to have Electric Scooter under C series in 2011.  Not many knows about it.

Currently, this space is dominated by PRC company.  This is a good example of it https://www.niu.com/uk/product/n-gt

Niu GT cost SGD2.5k in China.  But Motorcycle COE is SGD8.5k.
