If the smell has been absorbed by the aircon system, getting the evaporator coil cleaned no use?

I took the existing aircon filter out btw, it's a non-charcoal type white filter and looks very clean ... I go and smell it to see if there would be heavy car perfume smell on it (yeah I get that some people will think I am [hur] to go and smell it) ... strangely I don''t smell any any car perfume on it.

Send the car for steam cleaning of the interior e.g. by Steamarts will have any use?

Eat quite alike too...

one eats what cow eats...

one eats the cow 😁

I have always liked eating with vegetarians.

More meat for me.

Wedding dinners I always ask if anyone on my table are divers.

More divers better, more sharks fin soup for me.

:D

after i got my car repaired by the insurance workshop recently, i had this problem of the chemical that they used to freshen the car interior up.

It took me two weeks to clear it off. Dam sian. I dislike workshops who do that.

can try --->

Sonax Car Air Conditioner Cleaner Original 100ml (Try to get the original, not some fanciful fruity fragrance)

but before you go out and spend money, try -->

1. A/C Off

2. Recirculating OFF

3. Temp set to MAX.

4. Drive for 15-30mins.

Try to do it at night/dawn. So you wun sweat buckets !

Can hire my MIL for a day.

She eats lots of onions and the awful perfume smell will be a thing of the past

:D

If there are window visors, leave a small gap on all 4 windows to let the smell escape when parked.

Change Air-con filter to charcoal type.

Put Charcoal packs in the car to absorb the smell.

Do all of the above and the smell should go away after some time.

If the perfume was Chanel No 5 by a lady owner and you couldn't get rid of the small I would buy the car of you and resell it to a collector that likes things like that.

But if the smell still lingers as a last resort just buy some durians and leave the car under the sun all day.

At the end of the day, chop, sign and guarantee you cannot smell the perfume anymore.

:D

And if you don't like durians then some spilled milk left over night works well too.

Ten lemons may do the trick i think.🙄🙄

As previous responders have mentioned like blast the fan, park under the hot sun with doors open etc. I would add on two things: first is to drive with windows down for some distances; and second is to place many old wet The Straits Times🤐 in the car when you park. By the time you drive the car again, the wet paper would have dried up and absorbed the smell. Just discard the paper.

I did it for my office last time. It worked.

nb. Don't waste the masks. They don't filter smell!
