You can see villages block out outsiders cos if they get hit. Maybe the Village head going to get it. As for the no smoking issue in coffeeshop and places. If the smoker is fined, the owner also fined. All keep a look out.

The measures we take to contain coronavirus might do more damage to people’s livelihoods than necessary. Or we might allow the virus too much leeway, needlessly ending lives. In a spreading pandemic, the second mistake is much harder to repair than the first. Fighting this virus demands economic sacrifices: not without limit; and not without end. But if not now, then when?" https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/why-shutting-down-the-country-to-save-lives-makes-economic-sense-1.4220041 Like I said, there are no good outcomes, just damage control. Repeated CB is also not sustainable in the long run, CB affects the lower income a lot more. The real cost of lockdowns are not fully reflected in the numbers. Suicide and depression are on the rise. All these half past six measures telling people to avoid social gatherings at work is nonsense. And what is non essential social gathering? Lol If scared, do a HA and spend the money. Voluntary is not going to work very well with current state of Covid fatigue. Edited September 8, 2021 by Voodooman

But the thing is, when there was a shortage of vaccines, the justification for lengthening the interval was because antibodies would be increased. Which is fine. Except when then supplies are back, the intervals are shortened again. Which means you did not believe the lengthening of intervals were useful. Reminds me of healthy don't wear mask. You gave the advice not because you believed in it but because of other considerations. Which is dangerous in a pandemic when you need people to support you. yes when vaccine supplies were replenished and plentiful, the jab interval was reverted to 3 wks for Pfizer (4 for Moderna) and people who had booked 6 (or 8 ) week gaps were able to reschedule their 2nd jabs for an earlier date. but not to forget, there was a concerted effort to get people to get the 2nd jab ASAP in order to meet the 80% target before NDP 😁 only later did i read abt the increased efficacy from having the longer interval. If i had known this, i would have maintained my original (longer) interval. Screw the NDP target.

Just hope his stupidity is not infectious among the general public. Today my employee's family member has a positive PCR and everyone in my company freaks out, including me. He went for a PCR earlier and now waiting for his result. Meanwhile his ART thankfully was negative. I keep hearing people say this is just a flu and it is not a serious illness after vaccination. Well, almost everyone in my company is vaccinated and yet they freaked out. They were so concerned and kept asking me and his manager for the result. His iPhone was inundated with questions after questions by fellow colleagues. We should seriously invite those people (who think covid is a flu) to go and French kiss my staff's family, including Dale Fisher, limelight hog and Donkey Cheng.
