Not easy to enforce. There are so many flouters. One SDA issue let's say 10 summons a day. There are hundreds of them and the summons run up to the thousands. Tracking will be non-existence... all the ministries are over-whelmed liaoz. It isn't like a traffic summon where you have a car plate number. Rule breakers can just say never bring IC... then how?

It's all down to civic-mindedness. These people are just a bunch of idiots.... and there're so many of them.

actually quite the opposite. from epidemic to pandemic. like spanish flu it took about a year due to soldiers in the trenches being sent home. travel is slow, pockets of population are isolated. if not because of ww1, the spanish flu would have remained in the us and may not explode in infections if the patient zero dies with it or recovers without spreading.

now travel takes less than a day to reach almost any continent. there is less opportunity to quarantine. ships used to take months to get from europe to asia.

so covid becomes endemic, and that means it lasts forever.

Yes, it seems they are going for the peak. Even among the unvax, more than 93%(local context) will recover. .  We just have to be prepare. Vax ourselves, get enough vit D and zinc, exercise regularly.  Vit D from sunlight and exercise have to get it outdoor, coop up at home is not going to strengthen  our immunity. Afternoon sun is the best.. Get about 20-30 mins worth of sunlight everyday.

Sadly, the price will be more deaths among the elderly. Already can see the death rate rising among the above 50s, especially more for the 70s.  That's why strongly recommend above 50 get booster since the chance of kenna is much higher now. Building immunity is my priority now.  Pfizer show antibody level returns back to it was when it were at 95%.

Yes, the cycle would keep repeating itself with no ending lo. Esp when the plan from them is to open up big big. So when the cases are down to low level, confirmed these ministers would open up even bigger and loosen even more measures, and yet they still do not learn from mistakes. So the cycle keeps repeating and repeating and repeating. Lol.

You may be willing to tighten, but many others are unwilling or unable to do so. Eg the sole bread winner in the household with no income because of a hard lock down.

Unless we are self sufficient as a country, hard lock down (must be together with closing borders 100% to be effective) is impossible.

For those who are financially able to, no one is forcing them to come out of their households to risk infections. They can stay relatively safer. Just forgo social interactions etc.
