Think Tesla won't be doing business the usual way like other ADs

In US, i've gone into Tesla showrooms in shopping malls. Just another shopfront next to Gap or Nike

Tesla is tech company.

For standard range plus,

2021: $2.4k

2022: $1.9k

If mileage low, confirm petrol + road tax is lower than electric + road tax.

These figures are not correct.

EVs are nothing new in Singapore. We have it for many many years. You can even see little kids driving them. Now the adults also want to drive them.

Oh yea, Fiat seemed to be next building beside TC Nissan.

And what happened to Fiat now..? ://

I still remembered around mid 1990s there was a Fiat model named Punto i quite like.

I also looking at the Punto Turbo at the very time.

Nearly sign-up but HOLD back as the trade in car price is very low on my car.

Maybe cheaper in TPY and must well serve as a showroom

Yes, they have a 3rd party contractor doing up the performance parts for them.

I bought a forester and add-on a few parts from the contractor too.

Price is higher than outside but just to secure the warranty of the car.

That era many nice pocket-rocket cars (rocket as in relatively speaking).

Pity then I was not financially ready to afford those cars. :/:D

let me guess,

the high road tax for EV is to compensate the loss of potential petrol tax due to gahmen.

Don’t forget government still need to maintain the roads and manpower cost.

Don't under-estimate their resolve and innovation to collect more money..... they can easily slap a surcharge or electricity tax on usage of charging points..... remember what happened to CNG vehicles?

Don't be surprised, after EV takes off, years later, environmentalists will say, more lands are being cleared to build battery factories, incurring more damage to the environment and more disposal of toxic batteries, more damaging than previously thought.  <_<

planted "environmentalists" you mean? to justify more upfront road/carbon taxes for EVs....
