The Oceans are swamped with plastic and famous brands are here to the rescue: Adidas, Coca-Cola, Ocean Cleanup and many more. But how does this work and is this really the way to save our oceans? We're destroying our environment at an alarming rate.

But it doesn't need to be this way. Our new channel Planet A explores the shift towards an eco-friendly world — and challenges our ideas about what dealing with climate change means. We look at the big and the small: What can we do and how the system needs to change. Every Friday we'll take a truly global look at how to get us out of this mess.

Please use your existing items fully and not just discard them because they look old. The more you buy the more the planet goes faster in the direction of destruction.

Code 3, 6 and 7 cannot be recycled.

i think most of our plastic wastes comes from food and drink containers/wrappers. Styrofoam boxes, wanton mee bags, kopi bags and examples of those that cannot recycle. usage of these definitely shot up in the last 1.5 yrs due to covid.

I hope more food sellers change to paper containers instead. Found a ramen store yesterday that provided paper take away containers. Or bring your own tingkat  containers when tabao-ing.

Reduce

Reuse

Recycle

There's a reason they're in that specific order. The greatest positive environmental impact comes from reducing and goes downward.

Oh, and this:
