Fire at Tampines St 81 Coffeeshop

According to zaobao, a  grease fire erupts on a stove at one of the stalls. The stall assistant tried to put out the fire by throwing water. What happens next the fire spread rapidly causing the whole coffeeshop to burn down

They should make it mandatory for some form of fire suppression system over the stove. Like what they have in shopping centres.

There isn't any such requirement, maybe just a solienoid to shut of gas supply. More importantly, the exhaust duct are never cleaned. Scdf should make it mandatory.

Those living above are the most dangerous. Must buy more insurance. Why after so many years and so many HDB being built, corner unit are usually coffee shop, no design to ensure proper fire rated exhaust shaft are being built?
