Erik Ten Hag to ManU [bounce2]

Worse times to announce a new managerial appointment. So would players down tools or up their game from now till end of season? Bearing in mind no more transfer market.

Manu 4 (Maguire / Bruno / Fred / Elanga) - Leeds 2 (EPL - Away)

The two goals from Maguire and Bruno in the first half were nullified by the two quick-fire goals within 24 seconds apart in the 53rd minute from Leeds after their coach Biesla used all 3 subs at the start of the 2nd half.

With Lingard and Pogba coming off for Fred and Elanga in the 66th minute, both made their mark by scoring in the 69th and 88th minute respectively. A hard fought match in water-logged conditions but Rangnick has to buffer the defence as losing the lead in the last few matches has to be cause for alarm, especially when playing against ManC, Spurs and Arsenal in next month.

ManU 0 - Watford 0 (EPL - Home)

Both Maguire and Luke Shaw were left out with Varane, Lindelof, AWB and Telles at the back and Elanga, Bruno and Pogba supporting Ronaldo. The midfield duo comprising Matic (for the injured Mctominay)  and Fred were effective but many chances went a-begging with Bruno and especially Ronaldo who had a goal ruled offside, leaving his scoring boots in his gcb home. Frustrating for Rangnick but Roy Hodgson's team who has let in the most goals in the league, would be glad for a scoreless first half.

With subs for Fred, Telles and Matic with Sancho, Shaw and Rashford in the 2nd half, there was nothing to show for with another 2 points lost and the opportunity to cement 4th position seems remote with games against stronger teams next month.

Watford playing mostly 10man in the box, hard to find space to penetrate. Those times utd managed to find space, the finishing failed them. In such cases, either delivery to the striker is damn good or shot from range and hope of lucky rebound to tap in would be only options...

That was Watford's game-plan to park the bus and we were not clinical enough, given the few chances to win and amass the points. With Arsenal right behind and 3 games in hand, remaining 4th will be difficult with West Ham and Wolves (2 games in hand) and Rangnick's hope of CL berth seems far-fetched.

That early Bruno miss proved fatal now when he could have square to CR7 for tap into open goal.

Sometimes when luck is against you, the ball just wont go in. On another occasion, probably 3-4 goals

Despite the huge investments in past 7 years, somehow it is still not working out, whether it is bad luck, curse or confluence of factors, looks like it may take a few more years or even longer. The strange thing is that almost all the very good players they brought in somehow managed to become average or underperform after they joined. Cannot be just tactics or managers because they have changed so many already.

Yes, that's why the fans are now saying that Bruno is turning into another selfish Greenwood 🙂

Rangnick in trying to implement the basics of gegen and structure for teamwork comes at the expense of allowing the players to demonstrate their individual flair and talents. Although ideal, he has to find a solution to this, as the season is drawing to a close and time is not on his side to attain his 4th placing KPI.

 ManU 1 (Sancho) - ManC 4 (De Bruyne x 2 / Mahrez x 2) - (EPL - Away)

The 4-2-3-1 formation consisted of Bruno in front with Pogba behind, flanked by Sancho and Elanga. It was Maguire's blunder again, being too slow in tracking De Bruyne, that allowed him to score through his legs in the 4th minute. Sancho evened the score in the 22nd minute with just three good passes from the back by Bruno and Pogba but De Bruyne scored again in the 27th minute to make it 2-1 going into the break, after some delay from a fan needing medical attention in the stands.

The 2nd half was a shambolic display from us, totally outplayed and outclassed. The subs for Rashford and Lingaard for Pobga and Elanga in the 68th minute did nothing to improve the possession and attack and ManC showed why they are at the top of the table with two class goals from Mahrez. Apart from the midfield woes and even with Varane and Shaw out due to Covid, Rangnick has to really take a leaf from ManC's and even from the lower ranked teams' defensive attributes. The better players' loss of form is another cause for him to address.

ManU 3 (Ronaldo - hattrick) - Spurs 2 (Kane-pen / og) - (EPL - Home)

With Bruno and Mctominay out sick, it was Matic and Fred in midfield with Sancho, Pogba and Rashford supporting Ronaldo in front. A spectacular scorcher into the top right corner by Ronaldo off a pass from Fred made it 1-0 in the 12th minute and Spurs pulled one back in the 35th minute, when Telles handled the ball in the box, which Kane converted. It was 2-1 going into the break when Ronaldo tapped in for his impressive 806th goal in all competitions.

Both teams were evenly matched in the 2nd half with Elanga coming on for the off-form Rashford in the 67th minute but the calamitous Maguire stuck his leg out and gifted Spurs the equalizer in the 71st minute and Rangnick added Cavani for Matic to find the winning goal. It was Ronaldo who made it a hattrick in the 81st minute off a corner for MOTM and later rested for the next match for a job well done and later replaced by Lindelof to boost the defence.

TBH, nobody know what happened actually, somehow I reckon it's partly due to the C-19 has had taken toll on the player's dysfunctional and mental states of their minds past 2+ years, hence with changes of managers from OGS to RR & current looking for a permanent mgr will add more pressures. Ralf is only interim and he is set to prefer the Dutch connection than the given one.- How ErikTH gonna to fulfil his needs as compared to Pochettino or Luis Enrique, to could be anyone possibility manager asides, the players themselves has tom step-up the final few games left, We dont have a slim hope of squeezing in Champion league football.

My only consolation is CR7 which I believe he can pull the plug off, not withstanding his Portuguese colleagues supporting him alongside with Dalot & Bruno. Sad thing is the midfielders is a grey area to be taken good care off. Mata, Pig and Matic names are on the list of players leaving the club on a high, so loads of shuffling . . .  if only we can conquer the last few games win a high scores, then it may change thing a bit brighter. Let's see...

According to ManU fan & Critics = Goldbridge  (check Youtube under Goldbridge)

ManU had identified 3 possible managers  :we-all-gonna-die:

1) Ten Hag  -  highly

2) Pochettino  -  unlikely  and

3) the mysterious one ???????

The mysterious one is none other than CR 7 himself. He wanted to be the "player-manager" of ManU. [sly]

Rumours had it but stilll unconfirmed report about CR 7 involvement. :wut:

Goldbridge is the most annoying YT presenter. Can't stand his voice... because my son listens to him everyday 🙄

He talks rubbish all the time so no need to believe anything he says
