Speed camera flash even though under speed limit?

Happened at SLE near Mandai

Few days I got flashed, was less than 5kph over the limit so thought it was weird.

Today just got flashed again at the same location again, but this time I'm going lower than the limit.

Cannot be my speedo wrong - it's a <1 yr old car with stock rim and tyres.

Waze number (GPS speed) is lower than my speedo even.

Anyone encounter before? not speeding but still flash?

Don't worry.

They are programmed to flash randomly.

The one at PIE also same, but sometimes they caused idiots to jam brake and accidents happen.

Random flashing either to test the system or scare drivers into behaving.

Don't worry about it. I personally encounter before but always pretty sure my speed was just below limit and everything was fine. Thought that another car had triggered it.

If you worry about these camera flashes then try to avoid the fast lane (right next to the road divider).

To remind motorists that there is a speed camera ?

To remind motorist to slow down? Good tactic...

Gahmen making sure you have a fine day. 😁

The day will be fine but driving licence will  not be!

Two times means $400 x 2 = $800, and 12 + 12 points = 24 points = gantong!

If you were seeing the flash before your eyes, that means it was capturing car from the opposite direction. All the traffic cameras are set to capture the rear license plate.

A motorist may be driving at speed limit, and suddenly got flashed.

He thinks whether he has been speeding and will most likely slow down. That could create problems for the cars behind.

It happen to me too!

Not once but many times.

The camera is faulty.

Can you fight in court and if the judge side you and let you off can you tell him I have many tickets also can let me off too?

I pass you my bunch of tickets to show him.

Don't worry, because when the cars behind see the flash, they would naturally slow down as well.. 😁
